I'm getting Jurune or Talislanta vibes from reading the preview. This looks like it is going to be an original fantasy not based on Tolkien, and I'm thinking that is a great idea. I'm detecting some Barsoom influence too.

Having read some background material . . . yes, this is a big break from Tolkien. A deliberate tribute to pulp adventures, with heroes discovering lost civilizations.

YES we are purposely trying to create a whole new world, with different cultures, monsters and kindreds. We are also setting up the world so that things coming there from other realms and worlds is part of the foundation of the planet itself. So your elves, dwarves, humans, and other familiar kindreds can easily visit here, but there are not here in any big way. There are some scattered colonies, forts or ports, but the lands are mostly dominated by other intelligent beings and creatures. Well it's now November 2022 and we have fisnihed and released on Drive-thru all the main products associated with the Zimrala Kickstarter. (So you didn;t have to wait an extra 2 years! - lol) They will all be printed very soon and then we will start shipping them out to all the backers!
