Good afternoon, Folks,
I came across this video, 15 Places the Earth Acts in Strange Ways, and thought I'd post it over here as inspiration for fellow world builders to use.
I love the idea of the cave system they described, especially since it was only 'officially' discovered 30 years ago. Mix that with an indigenous tribe of frog-folk inspired by a video I posted over here and you have a ready made civilization for your delvers. Floating islands, islands born from volcanic eruptions, salt flats, hot springs, unusual flora, I can see so many ways to toss this all into a bowl, mx it up and pour across a sandbox map.
What real world inspiration have you woven into your worlds?
I'll have the deep-fried battered pixie with balrog dipping sauce and a Hobgoblin ale.
