My 1981 4th printing has an errata page that is not applied to the DriveThruRPG version - do you already have that?

If it hasn't been applied to the current DriveThruRPG version we better have it, please.

I've played in several games but due to my lack of experience with running the game? I'd feel better leaving this one the more experienced hands. That said? I've been told the combat examples have several errors within them. Maybe somebody who is a dab-hand at 5th ed. combat could take a look at them?

The 5th edition combat examples do have some maths errors. There was some attempt to fix them in 5.5, but there are still problems with the 5.5 examples too.

The Drivethru is Third Printing October 1980 so if anyone wants to check a later print vs that and list them out that would probably be helpful. (Mine are all in storage ) -Mike

Curse You (level 2 spell) is missing, so you can foil a curse but not actually cast one.
I have a feeling that another spell was missing from one of the printings, but I'll have to cross-reference a couple of books tomorrow.

Here's a glaring omission, but it may not be within the scope of errata.
At no point do the 5th ed rules explain how a deluxe staff is of any extra benefit to the wizard over a staff ordinaire. There is no mention of whether the holder can learn the staff's spells, or get it to cast a spell of the holder's choosing. It is also a complete mystery as to why anyone would pay 5000 gp for a brand new staff with no previous owners.
Most of us have house-ruled or assumed some such benefit, but no such thing exists in the actual rules.
This same omission exists in editions 7, 7.5 and Deluxe.

Someone asked that very question recently on Facebook, here is Ken's reply: Then Ken was asked this question as a result of the above explanation: What about spells that the new owner has the IQ and DEX for, but has not learned? Does the new owner a) Ask the staff to cast these too, b) Know the spells while holding the staff, or c) Learn the new spells permanently from the staff? If not C, can the wizard get the staff to cast Teacher to learn the staff's spells permanently?

I am pretty sure that it says a deluxe staff is indestructible, which is a lifesaver at one point in Deathtrap Equalizer.
Also, if you have stables of characters which was definitely a thing back in the day then your wizard can develop a staff for a stablemate or successor.

@piper, he was replying to a different question.
What he said yes to was using a deluxe staff to cast a spell while you cast another spell or attack with a weapon. So a deluxe staff lets you cast an extra spell each combat round. So that should be mentioned in any edits to the rules.
Personally, I would still really like to know if/how spells can be learned from Deluxe Staffs.
In any case, I suggest this would be good to include in errata.

@piper, he was replying to a different question. Oh? LOL! Well, the format of FB's answers makes it difficult to figure out what answer follows which question! lurker37 I'm going to assume you referring to the second question and "yes" answer?
