Like Ken, Steve looked at D&D and felt he could do better, and in the process gave us The Perrin Conventions and eventually Runequest. The third of the "BIG 3" Fantasy games of the glory days.

He was caring for his wife Luise (supported by a GoFundMe) whose health has been very poor for some time, despite his own difficulties. Very sad indeed.

That's a big shame - Runequest 2 was my main go to game for about 20 years. Thank you Steve for what you gave us. Rest in Peace in roleplay Valhalla.
