Well done everyone! Finished reading this morning and it is great! Love the idea of a "hidden talent" presented. Monster Classification is another I'll get mileage out of, as I have a mixed party of monsters & men. The hourglass trap is also quite fun, getting use out of it for sure

Trollszine 14 is Re-Released!Happy New Year to you all my fellow Trolls. Just to let you know that Dan Dalton, the bridge's very own alkazar , has made a few tweaks to issue 14, including many more links to make navigation much easier If you've already downloaded this edition, you'll get an email to let you know that you can get the update. If you haven't downloaded a copy yet, just what have you been up to of late? Sid

Wow. I'm late coming to this. AND now I can say I'm published!
Thanks to all and especially those at Tavern Master for their continued support of this system. Keep up the great work!

I enjoyed the solo, and reading all the articles in the new number. If can have a request for the next issue, it would be more material that do not entail you to have bought something beforehand. This troll have a limited budget for fun, and I have nt been abel to buy etiher Monsters!Monsters! 2e or the the solo that was adapted into a GM adventure. But the layout looks great and coudos for everyone that paricpated!

The origin of this conversion is tertiary to this conversation, but as soon as we decided it would be in TrollsZine, making parts accessible to all--something a GM could use--rose on the priority list. Another reason why I'm so grateful to Sid for providing info on the Batkin, allowing me to do the Hollywood Monsters.
However: those items should have been clearly marked at the very least. [Insert hindsight cliche]. Maybe in an intro paragraph, with formatting (symbols in the text or something bigger)... Much appreciate your feedback. Apologies, and thank you for stimulating my thinking towards a partial fix that will allow writers flexibility and readers utility. </Gertrude>

Just going to add that the Current version of Monsters! Monsters! is very convertable to Ken's other game so you should be able to use the GM adventure quite easily. Don;t let you stop that fron reading it and using it, Trollettgunner.

What probably isn't clear trolletgunnar is that David's article makes significant changes to what is contained in the solo. It uses the same background and material from some of the paragraphs in the solo but (I think!) you would get a very different experience running it as a GM adventure. Different enemies, slightly different goals and some scenes which reward group play. When I read the article I felt it was more of a parallel adventure than an attempt to re-create the solo as a GM adventure. As it stands, I think I would struggle to run it if I hadn't read the solo because of the specific paragraph references. I would be looking on it as a GM resource with a map, adventure hook and some great monsters; but you'd probably need to develop it using your own ideas.

Trollettgunner, what Steve said is correct, Skogheim can be played pretty much "as is" with any version of the game system. Most everything in issue 14 is system neutral, with the exception of Mosker's Classification article which is specifically for monsters as PC's, however, even Deluxe has monsters as PC's rules so it's probably usable there as well.
The Treehouse skills article is a leftover from issue 13 and is written for T&T. The article makes no mention of T&T and I saw no reason to make any changes other than to clean it up for publishing. It's usable for any version of the game.
The advertisements are for M!M! because nobody is producing T&T stuff after WebSphere and Rebellion happened. I am working to get us a wider variety outside of just Bean and M!M! so hopefully future issues will offer more.
The Skyship of Lord Orink conversion guide has value even if you don't own a copy of the solo. There is enough material there that a creative GM can easily make a full adventure out of it or at least make use of something there. The work does not adhere fully to the original and has been expanded with a ton of new things.
I wouldn't write it off just because it says Monsters! Monsters!

And I think the magazine was successful.

I thought the same thing: to tinker with it a bit and use it as an inspiration for my own GM adventure. Thanks for the Feedback!
