Welcome seanfsmith! Our ever helpful GM will post your character on the "character" sub board in due course. He also likes a bit of backstory so he can work out how your character fits into the adventure. Nothing too heavy... the character sheets explain all, though there has been some development for all concerned. John

Welcome seanfsmith: the rest of us who've also seemingly used CON as a dump stat will make room for you to hide behind the dwarf.

Welcome seanfsmith ! I've run out of time today (going to see if I can squeeze in a quick update before I hit the sack because I'm up at 4am ish for work) but expect something tomorrow. I'm thinking another Elf Rogue... maybe he knows Akki, our existing Elf Rogue. Both signed on (with Udhaav the Tinker Mage) at Jepistra (link in Signature for Game info) and he was assigned to the Sonan Ie fleet at the last moment as another hand in the galley. Unfortunately the language barrier and insular nature of the Sonan Ie traders mean that your character hasn't done anything other than prepare food in the galley with a strict 'go nowhere else' policy whilst they try to figure out what to do with you. If all of that is like 'what, eh?' then hopefully this fills in a few blanks... UPDATED INFO FOR ANY NEW PLAYERS (Feb 2023)
You were taken on as a sellsword/hired hand on a Trading Vessel belonging to the Sonan Ie Empire. The journey from Sonan Ie to Jepistra (which is near Jepik on the 'leg' of the continent) went without incident and the next leg involved picking up more hired hands for the next stretch to Khazan. Things went... strange from there. The fleet consisted of three Sonan Ie ships - a huge Merchantman of six masts and two war sloops of around sixty to eighty hands, crewed by the Sonan Ie Samurai/marines. Also along for protection were three ships from Jepistra. Unfortunately this proved to be a mistake as they are actually Pirates! Worse than that, something occurred on those Pirate ships that could only be described as Supernatural. One of the ships simply vanished, another dived beneath the waves. The third was left behind as the crew were changed into Undead creatures intent on devouring the non pirate crew aboard! The ship that dived beneath the waves resurfaced and attacked the Sonan Ie fleet, sinking one of the War Sloops and heavily damaging the Merchantman which limped away whilst taking on water. The Merchantman made for the Island of Khrayyt to put in for repairs. There one of the three Pirate Ships - the one that had been left behind - reappeared but was this time in the hands of Delvers who had taken the ship from the Undead Pirates and arrived to help the Sonan Ie fleet. On board that ship are Delvers Klarrrrchur Deathaxe, Will Darness, Udhaav the Mage/Tinker and Akki the Jagged. These four had been through various scrapes and adventures to get to this point so far. Right now (Feb 13 2023) the two Sonan Ie ships (large Merchantman and War Sloop) and the former Pirate ship renamed the Crimson Avenger are parked in a bay whilst the numerous Sonan Ie crew members perform repairs which will take a couple of days. The Island of Khrayyt is mysterious. Populated by (amongst other things) Dinosaurs and fantastical creatures it is a dangerous place for the unwary... We'll introduce your character as someone the Sonan Ie people don't want on their ship (they have trust issues...) so when the Delvers meet in the tent on the beach for a meal with some of the Sonan Ie warriors one of the servants hurries off after speaking in hushed terms to a Sonan Ie warrior. Akki noticed this ( HERE...)

Hullo all! I've rolled me up a character (elf rogue of L2 with a frighteningly low CON), the numbers of which are here for convenience and so that I don't drop them. ST.9; CN.7; DX.20; SP.6; LK.12; IQ.14; WZ.26; CH.9 6'2" + 155lb. Just so you know Sean you can roll 3 times and pick the best set (them two 6s look a killer). Also you can arrange in this game, so place your attributes in any order you want. Of course you can do want ya want! Some enjoy the traditional way. In fact this is the first time I created a T&T character that was not placed as rolled!

Black greasy and scraggly hair, cut short before his shoulders (thinning slightly on top), thick facial stubble and dark eyes. History: A once time farmer, things got bad as his family and co-workers died by Uruks and Goblin raiders. He set forth for Jepistra as a caravan wagon attendant and then signed on as a ship's crewman bound for Khazan. After this things just got getting worse. Delves: Caravan to Jepistra The Crimson Avenger, the Jungles of Khrayyt. Garilt might not have been much of a fighter but he was a big fellow and between Klarrrrchur and him the row boat powered through the water to reach the golden sands of the bay.
Garilt reflected on his years as a farm labourer, the farm being overrun by Uruks and Goblins and left in ruins and his subsequent trek to Jepistra as a Caravan labourer for a Merchant.

OOC: Well coping quoted OOC onto openoffice document not work for me. It was fine as coloured lettering? Copying the BBCode usually seems to work for me. It can be a nuisance (the interpreter isn't that great and does some odd things on occasion) but I find it gives me greater precision when I want to do something involved.

So, you are copying the scripted from the forum houndle?
For example when I copy your stuff, the text blends and I get no bubble border text (quote box).
But when copying apn, most times I get the quote effect on the openoffice document (except a few times), which I rather not have, but if no 'quote box,' then the text is half an inch from page edge and untidy.
It certainly not life threating, just a little extra work for me...

At a guess, some of the "garbage" code which gets added automatically is causing a problem for OpenOffice.
If you don't like the boxes, I can go back to font colour easily enough. It's only that I'm not always consistent with colours; I use the palette and sometimes my aim is off.

Yeah, the only reason I was using Quote for the OOC stuff is to break up what can be an eye bleeding wall of text, especially on Combat posts. Different colour stands out some but the quote parts really stick out (even if not in a different colour). Do whatever is easiest for you guys - I'll post in colour and in quotes when its OOC as it generally has all the dice rolling gobbledigook there. You can then choose to skip over those parts and read the (hopefully) more interesting text.

apn (not for now as we're mid-battle, but something to consider for the future) Potential for multiple simultaneous will-o-wisps? Maybe still need to be summoned one at a time (with a low level IQ SR to control multiples--it's not like summoning demons or familiars). Or something the braver might want to try with chaos magic--it goes wrong and you have the entire Tinkerbell clan blinding everyone...

I've just put LibreOffice on a computer. I'll see what that does at some point. (I think it's the spiritual descendant of OpenOffice.)
