OOC Simple strength test because you are being pulled so just need to hold onto the rope. Mind you with the rolls I keep popping up with its never certain...
I'll roll for Klarrrrchur and Will...
apn: Klarrrrchur and Will to cross river. Str L1Sr
apn rolls 2d6 = 6 +6 12
apn: DARO
apn rolls 2d6 = 3 +2 5
apn: and Will
apn rolls 2d6 = 5 +6 11
Everyone passes.
New AP tallies. Did I miss an 'upgrade me' post from Klarrrrchur or are you saving for something special nialldubh ?

With some considerable effort the mortally wounded Dhesiri pulls Klarrrrchur across. He in turn tosses the rope back and both pull Will over even in his heavy armour.
To the eight foot tall Dhesiri and almost as wide Dwarf the weight of Will in armour isn't enough to cause them issue.
Firdle brings up the rear and gets lucky. The fish have stopped eating each other and are looking for something else to snack on. Despite the powerful current the creatures are strong and seem to relish the 'fight' against the river. It makes them as a breed stronger so only the toughest, strongest survive. In the case of this particular breed, the meanest and nastiest too.
Helping the wizard from the water, the trio find the foul stinking tar/gunk/poop actually waterproofed them exceptionally well. Will in particular might find it resists water so well his skin aside from his face is permanently stained dark grey...
Staggering to its feet the Dhesiri points.
The Snee on the other side of the river have dragged the body into the jungle and set up several scouts to watch for the bridge and any Glarp who come along to guard it. Doubtless they will have sent word to their clan and a war party will be gathered.
Soon this place will be swarming with Snee! and battling Glarp! whilst the Queen attempts to give birth (with the help of the flower) to magically speed grown warrior younglings who will terrorise the jungle.
With the moon high in the sky now over the jungle there doesn't seem too much time to accomplish their quest before it becomes practically impossible!
Following Glarpys' lead the group scale the rocks on the other side (where the bridge is) and move towards the jungle temple. An impressive/foreboding edifice long since claimed by the jungle it remains standing and the Delvers know that having declared a side and betrayed his own clan, Glarpy has effectively signed his own death warrant.
Even for creatures as these, there seems to be a kind of code, and the Dhesiri seems willing to pay for the price for having had its life spared. With its health in such a perilous state it has nowhere else to go - the jungle would claim it in minutes with the Lizardman unable to defend himself for long.
"Glarp." it says, with a hand pointed to the entrance of the temple.
The group, under cover of darkness and keeping low so the horrid Snee! on the other side don't see them, can now move towards the next stage of their quest...
OOC And that will be continued in a new Chapter which I shall post tomorrow!
