Sharing solo adventures

That is my problem also, it was find in beginning and now its still fine.

I working mine in two parts, Level I (well actually II) and Level II (and actually III, it complicated).

Level I (II) is near ready, I got one more day of Editing for it, just so you know if you come to a bit where you can go to the next level, then do not, as I still working at it and only done about 10% of it.

So, in two days, maybe less, I can post a link to it.

I would love a Forum for these new solos and GM adventures. Be good to have them organized instead of lost in so many posts in 'General,' or 'Stories, Solos and Campaign Journals?'

But if we cannot get new forum, we should try stack our stuff at least in same section...

I am the same. I want to get the exact right tone in the adventure, I  also have a tendency to be a bit wordy. So then I have to go back and cut some of the "wordsalad" that I have created.

Well, be interest, but for me, I just bought the lot of solos with the idea to play them, which therefore seems obsolete me play as a GM adventure, but the FB team had started to create their Solo with GM adventures at back of book, which I thought was a great idea, like 'Saving Fang.' Still it also might be one I done? So you would have to change it a lot, I presume?

I working at improving a solo at moment, but it a bit Hush, Hush spell thing, but could you give me an idea of what solos you were considering as I got about 96% (naw 98%) of the T&T stuff?

Naw, I not even had a chance to play those games yet.

I am working at a redo of Saving Fang, but it half done and with BC still only half done my efforts have been on that solo....

Next, I plan (Drum roll) HELLHOLE Dungeon.

Will try to create about 2 levels a year for the next ten years!

Wow, does your day have 24 hours also?! You're a busy man indeed. We have a saying in Sweden that goes something like this: the road to hell is paved with good intentions. But i guess you are enjoying yourself!
What is your take on Saving fang?

Hi both. 
Im a few weeks away from completing Finding Festre, part 2, working title now Mission to Kh'arrazul. Just got to try and tie up four sub plots and hopefully stay under 250 paragraphs. Not quite how I planned it.

20/12/2022 *update*
Four sub plots became five, but two are done and a third nearly so. Each sub plot will effectively be a different story which is why it is taking so long to write. If I ever do another one of these it will be a guy in a dungeon beating up orcs.

Eh, Saving Fang, attempting to sort game, was a few Tags going nowhere, so trying to retrace them.

But ideas for a more future Solo on just the cavern system 200 years later, I guess.

I haven't tried Saving fang yet, so maybe I I'll start there, and then I could try your elaboration. If I play an elf I can use the same charater - just 200 years older!

Yeah that is what I did for first one, and plan to used him again in next trip.

Just doing a prof read in SF original, I done some serious changes. Found a lot of errors. One Like go to 11 and it was in prison cell and got shunted into another area of caverns and I had to add more tags/paragraphs, etc. To make it work.

I mean, it been broken for a long time, ya think someone could have fixed it?

Since they charge you for the adventure, I think that they sould have proof read it better. It's nice of you to take it on though.

This whole thing came to me, quite literally in a dream, on Christmas Eve. I think I've been spending too much time with the Adventurers Compendium.

It's pretty trivial, and obviously thrown together in great haste, but I hope it is worth a brief read.

I always draw up a map. I don't use graph paper or anything, I just use regular paper, nothing fancy. First I draw a square then lines running east west north or south connecting to other squares which I call "rooms." In each "room" I write a name and maybe some relevant info for that area (monster, or item etc) I don't bother with a detailed description cause that will come later when I write out the adventure. After i draw it out then I boot up libreoffice and bang out a couple of descriptive sentences for each "room" using my map as a guide, I can be verbose or concise, it doesn't matter, but flavor and atmosphere are hard to do in only a few words. Don't be surprised if you end up with a few extra areas along the way (traps, pit falls, sudden death..etc.) As far as numbering, I always make the starting point #1 then randomize everything else, and don't make the ending area #2 try to use the last number for the end area. A lot of the time I just make it up as I go. Make sure to separate each section out so you don't run out of room and get all squeezed in. Here's an example I drew up in 10 minutes, bear in mind I tried to keep it as clean as I can so it's easy to read. My regular maps are pretty sloptastic cause they are just for me and no one is supposed to see them:


I always count the number of "rooms" and write it to the side then mark the off as I assign them so I don't get confused and don't be afraid to move them around as you see fit. Remember, extra areas are going to pop up. You can make an adventure pretty quick this way and it can be as large or as small as you want Ideally 50 to 60 "rooms" is a good target.

Because of my tendency towards verbal diarrhoea 50 rooms would be a huge adventure. I normally figure about 7-10 paragraphs per "room", though I am trying to get more disciplined about this.
