Klarrrrchur Deathaxe:Klarrrrchur splutters and coughs at the overwhelming show of emotion when he reaches the floor again and salutes the lizard-man in traditional Dwarven fashion and slams his fist to his own sturdy chest (not the lizard-man's) in recognition of Glarpy's gesture. After a few moments, the Dwarf still a little emotional and with a tear in his eye set to work exploring the walls for hidden things. Still, the Dwarf is a little misty eyed and notices an empty corridor and believes this is as much as the temple has to offer. “Must be an over-exaggerated shrine, I believe Will, but there was a time.....!!!” Actions: Actions of Dwarf... In answer to Will's question about temple and if Dwarf recognises anything useful:Nialldubh rolls 2d6+10 = 5 +5 + 10 = 20 TARO +9 =29 OOC: lol, life is but a dream, we must roll with the ups and downs!!!

OOC Nice enough roll but there's nothing useful to be gleaned from ancient too worn markings about a long dead cult/temple worshipping a no-name god, unfortunately!Firdle is smart enough to consider that the tunnel doesn't end here but the other two have made such a convincing show of looking and not finding anything that there seems little point but to turn around! With his minuscule Will-o-Wisp flitting about Firdle peers at the wall in front. OOC I'll assume Firdle takes a look. Very little chance of success.
apn: firdle searches corridor end apn rolls 2d6+15 = 2 +6 + 15=23
Firdle earns 9AP (39AP total) but doesn't find any sign of a door. The stink around here is overpowering but must be coming from... somewhere else.Glarpy shrugs and offers a helpful "Glarp?" There seems little choice but to turn around and find another way.

Klarrrrchur Deathaxe:
“Lerotra’hh's smooth arse...,” grunts Klarrrrchur, “the 'Terrible Threesome,' strike again!”
“What kind of eejit builds such a small shrine, there must be more to this place. Lets go oot side and see if we can climb to a balcony or find something else we have missed; like a side door or a magical portal inside!?”
Actions:
Actions of Dwarf... Leads the way outside, looking for clues?

Firdle"Wait, wait, wait! I have a spell for this "ActionsFirdle casts Oh There It Is and looks all around. He's hoping to see a soft purple glow outlining something of interest...

Firdle saves the day by forming the image of a rune in his mind, gesturing with his fingers and waving them about at the end of the corridor whilst uttering a word in a language the world at large had mostly forgotten.
Well, aside from Wizards and Rogues that is.
"Oh there it is!" he declared as the secret door at the end of the corridor was illuminated with a rectangular outline. The spell doesn't last long but the Delvers know where the door is and a moment later after feeling about, poke a finger in a gap between brick panels and feel a piece of string. Pulling that gives a soft 'clunk' and the door opens outwards a crack.
The smell is horrendous. Like Dhesiri poop gone sour!
OOC Firdle casts the spell and earns 1AP (now 40AP) and is on 12/20 Wiz

Will Darness Will is dumbfounded. There seems no end to the wizard's talents.
"Who would have thought it? I was sure there was nothing there!" he gasps. "Onward, then? Same marching order as before?" He looks behind nervously, half expecting a dozen miniature fiends to come rampaging down the passage at any moment.

Firdle Firdle looks very smug, and is about to launch into a two-hour lecture on the benefits to the delving community of just-the-right-spell-at-the-right-moment, when the smell hits him.
Actions Coughing and gagging , Firdle demonstrates how a really bad smell is all you need to neutralize a wizard's spell casting ability.
OCC Some spare rolls: Firdle the Adequate rolls 2d6 = 3 + 3 = 6, DARO Firdle the Adequate rolls 2d6+6 = 2 + 4 + 6 = 12
Firdle the Adequate rolls 2d6 = 4 + 5 = 9

OOC I'll use Klarrrrchurs 19 rolled for his Con check from the smell which is nauseating. Firdle I'll nick the first dice roll you made and Will/houndle can you roll for the slimy haired one please because I dread to think what the dice will come up with next from me.
Note: Failure means you succumb to the smell and are sick. As a result roll 1D6 and subtract those points from Str/Dex/Con (or a mix of the three) as you see fit. Points recover at 1 pt/10 min turn.
The 19AP bump Klarrrrchur to 332AP and I'll up his Con by a point putting him on 12AP. He's on 23/33 Con.
Firdle passes the test and earns 14AP putting him on 54AP and is still smug.
I'm betting Will chucks his guts up and if he does its going all down his front. Just sayin'.

Klarrrrchur Deathaxe:
The Dwarf pauses at the Wizards words and waits patiently... And eventually the secret door was opened.
“Nice work Firdle,” he gruff in a proud way at the spectacular show of magic, “Adequate nothing, Firdle the Conjurer!”
Still the Dwarf hesitates. Just because he has a sturdy constitution, in does not stop the Dwarf attempts to hold his breath for as long as possible... Auntie Dorfas' cooking comes to mind and fades.
“Auntie Dorfas' cooking was never this bad!” He grunts...
Still he hold his new spear, 'Hurling Death,' in one hand ready to cast and the targe in the other.
Actions:
Actions of Dwarf... Ready for any attack, searching for traps and tentatively stepping forward to enter room or corridor beyond...

OOC Still not rolling for Will's Con check! he can do that when he checks in...Klarrrrchur pulled the door open, Glarpy behind with serrated sword in hand. "Glarp." it whispered, predictably. With the light from Firdles' will-o-wisp flitting about the shadows faded and the Delvers slowly moved into a large room, around 25 x 35' or so. The ceiling was rough hewn slabs but sturdy enough. The floor squelched. Above all, the smell brought tears to the eyes, and there was a good reason why.

OOC With squelching about, creeping around, looking for things you can't find and feeling sick as you stumble through ankle deep Dhesiri poop about a half hour has passed and Firdle recovers up to 15/20 Wiz while Will has 3/15.

Will Darness OOC slightly confused but I assume the required SR is level 1, against CON? Doesn't sound too hard...
WillDarness rolls 2d6+10 = (2 +4) + 10 = 16 FAIL WillDarness: re roll WillDarness rolls 2d6+10 = (3 +5) + 10 = 18 FAIL
WillDarness: now I need to roll low... WillDarness rolls 1d6 = 6
"Bleurgh!" cries Will. "That smells - bleurrrggghhhh!"
2 points off each attribute please.

Klarrrrchur Deathaxe:
“Poor Will, one minute the gods offer him gold and next...!” Grumbles Klarrrrchur, partly to himself...
“The problem with some people is they just have no personal hygiene!!!” States the Dwarf as he soldiers on. Then he looks at his feet, “...and a new pair of boots!” As if ending a sentence that was obviously on every persons' mind.
“Let keep together and begone form this place!”
Actions:
Actions of Dwarf... Careful of any trap, ambush, hidden beastie in mire. The Dwarf looks for another door.

Barry McKenzie Will Darness "Gaaaakh! Bleurghh!" opines Will.
ACTIONS Once he has stopped vomiting (If he ever does), Will takes a sip of water, ties a marginally cleaner scrap of cloth around nose and mouth. On the basis that he can scarcely get any dirtier, he has a good root around the room.
WillDarness: SR to search room or to serve GM's other nefarious plan. Luck used. WillDarness rolls 2d6+13 = (1 +4) + 13 = 18 FAIL WillDarness: (sigh) re roll WillDarness rolls 2d6+13 = (2 +5) + 13 = 20 L1 PASS

OOC well, given the way the dice roller has been misbehaving with scabby rolls lately I didn't want to be the one to blame for Will throwing his breakfast up all over his shiny bright Banded Mail. Which is still shiny and bright just smells like puke and Dhesiri poop.
With his 10 Con chances were (like needing 10+) a fail...
Will suffers -2 Str, Dex, Con. 1 point is recovered every ten minutes. Will, despite feeling somewhat green around the gills and light headed, takes the time to search around the room. Amongst the trash, faeces, rotted mostly clean picked food, dead - human you think - bodies with barely any flesh on and rotted clothes (dead a LONG time) Will finds the occasional glint of Gold. OOC Will looks for something useful and finds...
apn rolls 2d6 = 2 +2 4 apn: ok, it wasn't a Daro check but Will needs some luck so... apn rolls 2d6 = 5 +1=6 +4 = 10GPCounting out ten gold pieces Will still feels nauseous but he'll be able to buy a new shirt when he gets back to town. If he does. Klarrrrchur steps over, around and wades through some... hmmm best not think about it. It's waist high in places and Glarpy is hot on his heels, glancing around. "Glarp." he explains, helpfully. The Dwarf sees a door on the other side of the room and slops his way over. Only when he gets to the door does Glarpy scoop the dwarf up around the waist and raise him well over the layer of slop, poo and foulness in the room. "Glarp?" he offers, less than helpful at this stage probably. Firdle, sleeve (coated in Dhesiri poop/tar) across his face takes the time to search the room as well. OOC using the roll of 9 gets Firdle a L1SR pass on LK
He also finds 2D6 GP. Finds apn rolls 2d6 = 4 +2=6 GP
Will earns 8AP (22AP total) and Firdle earns 10AP (total 64AP)Glarpy puts Klarrrrchur down and scoops up some Dhesiri poop to sniff it. He doesn't even pull a face but the delvers do when his snake like tongue inches out to touch the dollop of poop in his hand. "Glarp." he mutters. Klarrrrchur notes that on the side of the wall where the secret door is are some old carvings and such which have been battered/chipped away over the years. Exposed is a hole with a string that lifts a latch on this side of the door. The door he's now stood at is a simple raise/lower latch from both sides and is not locked...
