Will Darness "Be careful!" wheezes the young warrior as he struggles to bring his digestive system under control. " It may be - (hack, ptooey!) - a trap. Perhaps we should - (urgh!) - lie down to present a smaller target!"
ACTIONS Trying to make himself as inconspicuous as possible Will watches anxiously to see what the dwarf is going to do. Scans for obvious traps.

Klarrrrchur Deathaxe:
“Exactly Glarpy, I know the feeling,” retorts Klarrrrchur at his new best friend... Then after being lifted airborne at the last moment, the Dwarf gives the Lizard-man a side-wards look and a raised eyebrow... “Eh hmm!” He ejaculates...
Back on his feet, he turns to look at his comrades, “no luck Will?” he inquires.
He then waits till his comrades join him, “lets get oot of this dunghole before we become part of it!”
Actions:
Actions of Dwarf... When the four are together, open door and step through at the ready...

OOC I presume all are ready to move on?With the dim light from Firdles 'will-o-wisp' flitting about and lighting the way albeit casting shadows everywhere, the Delvers steadily move from the vile 'dumping room' (literally) to the corridor beyond. The smell is still eye watering but recedes somewhat when the door is closed behind Will who takes up the rear. The corridor from the room immediately goes right for thirty feet before a sharp left. Creeping forwards with Glarpy a few feet behind Klarrrrchur moves to the corner and peers around. More corridor. This time only twenty feet before it turns left and the smell is returning. So is something else. "Glarp! GLARP! Glarp! Glaaarrrp!" cackle various Dhesiri voices albeit they are squeaky and high pitched. Sounds like 'more than a few'. Waving Firdles' will o wisp back Klarrrrchur moves to the corner and peers around the corner again. Where there was a door once the room is now open and stinks again because of the piles of Dhesiri dung. Worse, there are tiny (between one and two feet high) Dhesiri young scampering about like chickens sifting and searching through the poop for anything of interest. Wait, no. Anything to eat.Klarrrrchur sees a youngling pull something covered in Dhesiri faeces then have to fight and squabble over it as a dozen whirling forms of teeth and claw and tail dash over to wrestle it from them. The youngling with the 'prize' dissappears from Klarrrrchurs view around the corner of the room followed by a squeaking cackling mob of Dhesiri young.

Will Darness "This doesn't look good," whispers Will. He's beginning to heave again. " any sign of another way round? "
"I wonder if Glarpy could clear the room for us." Looking at Klarrrrchur hopefully as the Dhesiri's new best friend. " don't fancy fighting that lot. O.G. (Old Glarpy) doesn't look the maternal type, but you can never tell in the heat of battle! "
He fingers the money in his pocket. He's never owned that much in one go. He tries to work out if it's enough to retire on.
ACTIONS Ready to back the others up. Moving slightly forward in case he needs to get past Firdle in a hurry.

Klarrrrchur Deathaxe:
“If it just younglings, they will not bother us, just keep your eyes open for drones and matrons!” Grunted Klarrrrchur. “Lets move in and bypass this area, but where there are hatchlings, there might be a queen and then perhaps this flower!?”
Actions:
Actions of Dwarf... If group is ready he will lead them through this next room and locate an entrance(s) to proceed through!!!

The smaller (1-2') Dhesiri younglings scatter whilst the larger ones hiss and guard their 'prize' whatever it is. A gunked up stinking mass of something once alive and long rotted which the Dhesiri young, caked in sludge, are fighting over. The Smaller ones inch back and in moments are scrabbling over the scraps of whatever the slightly larger ones miss. Glarpy sneers and moves forward slowly. Younglings back off then inch forward, sniffing. One inches too close and Glarpy scoops it up in a clawed hand, crunching down and biting the youngling in half with a gurgled "Glarp!". He/it crunches on that half and tosses the rest in the room where dozens of scurrying Dhesiri gangpile their hapless former youngling, now a halfling and that half squirting blood and guts. "Glarp." grumbles the Warrior Dhesiri. There's a side door to the right of the room as the Delvers stand in shin/knee deep sludge/poop/vileness and to the bottom of the room is an open doorway where a door once hung. Whatever the room was for is long forgotten. From the room with the open door comes the sounds of sawing, scraping, hammering and otherwise the sounds of tools being used...

Will Darness "H'm, those sounds imply a level of organisation beyond what we have seen so far," muses Will. " A hole in the wall gives vision both out and in, " he adds wisely after the manner of one coining a proverb.
"I assume Dhesiri are a more common sight here than bold adventurers and we have an ally who fits that description and might look into the room at little personal risk. But seeing is one thing and speaking is another. Perhaps if O.G. could position himself at the open door, Klarrrrchur might position himself behind and peep under the Dhesiri's armpit, thus observing without being observed? Or between the Dhesiri's legs if their respective heights make that more convenient!"

Klarrrrchur Deathaxe:
“Well not what we would do at the Dwarven nursery, but...!?” Grumbles Klarrrrchur. ”Will, at least lets keep this dignified, just because we are standing in sh*t, does not mean we must succumb to it?!”
The Dwarf ponders, “I will need some light and if there is an intelligence around that corner, I just cannot imagine it blind and a carpenter at the same time, but I may have seen more usual things in my journeys, I remember a time when I...!” The Dwarf paused. Standing up to his knees in fresh dung was maybe not the best place to discuss the finer things in life.
He looks at Glarpy, then takes two fingers of his right hand and points to his own eyes and then points at the opening of the southern entrance. “At least let Glarpy take a look first. If he looks content, we can have a look after?!”
Actions:
Actions of Dwarf... Move with Glarpy to southern entrance keeping to the SE and use south wall for cover...

OOC Not on usual computer today so excuse the formatting please! The sounds of wood being worked draw the attention in here. There is an old Dhesiri working at a rough wooden bench and crafting arrows, spears and the like. You can tell it’s old – the skin is mottled, thin and grey and the creature has few teeth. It is in turn aided and pestered/tormented by small scurrying younglings only a couple of feet high and who “Glarp!” incessantly. The old Dhesiri shuffles from one bench to another to craft weapons from whatever the younglings drag in from the jungle, mostly sticks, rocks and whatever rubbish they drag in. The old Dhesiri’s leg is ruined and it limps heavily. It is also chained at the ankle to the wall by a thick heavy chain. |
The room itself appears to be some kind of workshop. There is a filthy stained trail leading through the room and to the left (from where Klarrrrchur stands under the armpit of Glarpy) off somewhere else. The spindly small younglings snap at and torment the old Dhesiri which it seems has long since given up any kind of resistance as it limps from one bench to another. The old one winces as a youngling snaps its tiny jaws onto the crooked manacled leg and the other younglings dart in to lick at the blood. With a sigh the old Dhesiri swats half heartedly at the younglings then sets to with honing and crafting a piece of flint to make a spear or arrow head. The younglings continue to cackle "Glarp!" incessantly. The constant noise and distraction must be enough to drive anyone mad even before the endless bites and nips that draw blood. The old Dhesiris' legs and arms are criss crossed with hundreds... nay, thousands... of tiny marks, cuts, indentations and bites. Will peers around the Dhesiri warrior to see this then moves back so Firdle can see it too.

Firdle (and the others) hear a hissed whisper of "Incessssant thingsss! Will you give me no peaccce?" from the old Dhesiri!
Glarpy immediately hisses "Glarp!" and starts to move towards the room...
OOC Klarrrrchur and Will are close enough to stop/drag Glarpy back if required. Klarrrrchur requires no strength roll to restrain even the mighty Dhesiri warrior as he operates 'on another level' strength wise...

Klarrrrchur Deathaxe:
Klarrrrchur stood standing beside Glarpy. When the Dhesiri starts to move, The Dwarf shouts, “HOY!” And thumbs him back. “If this lizard-man is dictating policy of how I meant to live by eating children in my presence, we might just have to kill him, no matter the natural order of life!”
“It would seems so Firdle!” He grunts.
The Dwarf stomps over to the old lizard-man and swings a warming backhand slap at one of the passing hatchling's head and as it nimbly dodges out the way, he turns to the old lizard-man...
“Need any help?!” He asks...
Actions:
Actions of Dwarf...
If Firdle can unlock chain with a spell, so be it. If not he will try to snap it close to the old lizard-man's ankle.

Firdle "I can indeed use a simple spell to unlock it, if that is what we think is a good plan?" Looks to Will. Pauses and looks surprised "Hey, I understood what he said!" Actions Firdle will cast Knock Knock for 1 WIZ if Will agrees its a sensible idea.

Will Darness " I suppose it will be all right to help him, " says Will dubiously. "At least he makes more sense than O.G.* Let's not forget the mission though!"
*Now shorthand for "Original Glarpy"
