Will Darness Will's brow furrows with the effort of thought.
"Four warriors. Is a lot," he mumbles. " And more is... worse. " He brightens. "Still, if we can beat them to within an inch of their respective lives and then offer them mercy, we might increase the size of our little band, and with it our chances of success!" A vision is dancing within his fevered brain of leading an army of Dhesiri. He pulls himself together with an effort.
"But on the whole best to avoid them if we can. Though I would fear being assailed from in front and behind."
ACTIONS If required Will takes his place in the fighting line. But on the whole he prefers stealth if there is a chance of avoiding a fight.

Guards means something important and hopefully that is the queen!” States Klarrrrchur. “What we need is to kill one quickly. I got a spear, the two Dhesiri take the bows and Firdle can cast his blast spell at one target. You got a dagger to aim Will? That rusty effort will not be fit to throw and that armour is weighing on your shoulders, so probably got no chance!” “So, with four of us attacking one target with missiles we can rush in surprise the guards, and if worst comes to worst we can hold them at door. If the sneaky blighters can rush oot and try and surround us by coming by another route. We waste no time, we fall back to trap and hold the safe part. They good jumpers, but ceiling is not high and we can skewer them and force them into trap if they attempt to get across that way!?” Actions:Actions of Dwarf... Will Darness Will pats down his pockets gloomily.
"What have I got that I can throw?" he mutters. " Rusty dagger, lucky charm, flask of oil that won't light... Which Klarrrchur said that anyway? I can still see two of you! "
OOC what with the armour, and the effect of Will's DEX reduction he'd be just as likely to hit one of his friends. If he had anything to throw. No access to my character sheet at the moment and can't remember if I bought a spare dagger.

OOC Yup 10 foot high and wide. It's almost like someone decided thousands of years ago it would be convenient and made it some kind of universal law.
Klarrrrchur sneaks about and round the corner only to come to what appears to be a dead end.
The stone here has been partially chiselled away but abandoned at some point. There's little in the way of Dhesiri poop and Firdles' light reveals some blunted tools discarded and thrown away.
This might have been an extension, some other means of entry into the place, the beginnings of a stairwell to a new level. Whatever it was, it was the end of a corridor now.

Firdle and Klarrrchur come to the conclusion that this place is very old and to mess about with the architecture in certain places would bring the place down.
Will ponders with his poop stained hand on his poop stained chin as he looks at the roof and walls of the end of the corridor. He comes to the conclusion that enough applied force to a certain angle of the wall will weaken it sufficiently to bring not only this part of the temple but the entire thing crashing down on whomever is still inside.
How useful that is ... well that's anyones' guess, but Will knows how to whack this wall at this spot in such a way that it will bring down a supporting wall and in turn cause the rest of the temple to come crashing down. You might have seconds, or minutes, but tons of stone will cause this place to crash to the ground killing everyone inside most likely.
OOC Firdle gets 7AP (63AP), Klarrrrchur 8 (34AP) and Will the part time architect/demolition expert earns 121 (140AP).
Bizarre.

Will Darness "I remember when we pulled down the old goat herd's shack at home," reminisces Will . "The dwarf builder we got in explained how to demolish it easily." Gingerly he reaches for the wall. " Just here I think. One good blow and it'd all come down. Perhaps you'd like to mark it, Klarr? Very gently! "
He continues to search his inventory. "Slightly dirty mirror? If that hit the guards they might get seven years bad luck?"

Led by Klarrrrchur the delvers return to the door.
Leaning in, Will and Klarrrrchur hear a conversation taking place interspersed with lots of squeaky words.
"Glarp! Glarp. Glarp. Glarp. Glaaaarp. Glarp! Glarp! Glarp! Glaarrr eeee!" CRUNCH, crunch, crunch, crunch. "Burp!"
A little way back at the corner of the corridor Slyclaw struggles to hear but translates. "The little onesss came here to raissse the alarm... sssome of them have not been sssuccessssful in convincing the Glarp guardsss of the danger."
"Glarp." muttered Glarpy.
"Indeed. One of the guardsss ssstatesss that the younglingsss know falssse alarmsss will sssee them eaten and ssstatesss that they ssshould sssend sssomeone to invesssstig..."
There are thudding footsteps and the handle of the door starts to turn...

Klarrrrchur didn't mess around.
The door opened, a towering Glarp Guard (even taller than Glarpy) appeared in the doorway, spear in hand with sword on strap at the back and...
It looked down. Then at Glarpy.
The Dwarf grunted, reached forwards with the axe and hooked the head behind the Dhesiris' leg.
OOC Going to try something.
The Dhesiri will oppose the move of the Dwarf. Klarrrrchur scores a staggering L12SR against the Dhesiri. It tries to reduce that...
apn rolls 2d6+15 = 4 +6 + EDIT 37=47 L6SR
Klarrrrchur is reduced to 'only' Level 6. The Dhesiri goes down and Klarrrrchur gains two adds per level he cleared the Dhesiris' total AND the Guard is at half HPT for this first (surprise round).
I would suspect the resulting gangpile will create a 'never knew what hit him' effect. Let's see.
Klarrrrchur 134 + 12 (special bonus) = 144 HPT Will 45 HPT (17 of which is vorpal) for 189HPT up to press... Glarpy attacks with his weapon... apn: Glarpy 90MR (10D6 +45) apn rolls 10d6+45 = 3 +6 +1 +1 +2 +2 +4 +1 +3 +6 + 45=74 less one implode apn rolls 1d6 = 2. 72HPT.
Delvers score 261HPT. Ulp.
The Dhesiri guard (MR100) comes up with... (surprise so total halved) apn rolls 11d6+50 = 3 +1 +3 +3 +5 +3 +6 +2 +3 +5 +3 + 50=87 HALVED to 43 HPT.
216 Damage. Crunch.
The Dhesiri goes down.
Klarrrrchur lops its arm off at the shoulder with a swing and puts the boot in, popping the knee so the leg points backwards. It's about to cry out in agony when Will darts in, punches his sword through its mouth to crash out the back and spray teeth and blood everywhere. He backhands the Elven sword across the side of the head slashing into an eye which explodes and lopping an ear off before bouncing from the skull in a spray.
Glarpy levels his spear then thrusts at the doomed Dhesiri, the point crunching through the thick armoured hide to give a gristle ripping wet tear sound and a sucking 'haaaaaawk' sound as it punches out the Dhesiris' back and lungs, fountaining blood all over the floor. Pulling it straight back out Glarpy leaves a fist sized hole in the front and a head sized hole out the back.
Klarrrrchur brings his mace around in an uppercut and catches the ruined jaw on the point of the chin.
CRACK! goes the neck and the head explodes, spraying outwards, upwards and around in a shower of mince which douses the gaping Dhesiri in the room beyond. There are a dozen younglings and the remains of half a dozen more who should know better than to tell tales about Delvers moving through their temple.
Except... ummm.
"GLARP!" shrieks one!
There are four remaining Dhesiri guards chosen for their strength, size, speed and fearlessness. They aren't dumb either. Three form up in a fighting line and advance. The fourth screams "GLARP!" and turns to head for a door in the south east corner of this circular room. Whatever it was used for before is history as it's a straw floor covered cess pit used by the Dhesiri guards. Bones, debris, bits of youngling, feathers, hide of deceased animal and a rotting smell fill the room.
Impressed by the sheer level of gory violence the Delvers put on show, Slyclaw mutters "Bloody hell."
Firdle stands at the back wondering which of his spells to use.
There seems a heartbeats lull in proceedings, a fraction of a second. The disembowelled form of the guard squirts blood in a foot high fountain for a moment before it slows.
Then the dogs of war howl and battle resumes!
OOC That was - sort of - round one.
Klarrrrchur got his own reward for the SR move but will earn 48AP for it anyway (6 x 8 rolled) because it's something he can learn from "Hmmm might try that again" style. Klarrrrchur is on 82AP.
Round 1. You face three Dhesiri guards and possibly several younglings. The fourth guard is heading to the door in the Southeast corner.

Will Darness "Nice one!" yells Will. " Look out, one of 'em getting away! " He states the obvious.
"Any more bright ideas Klarrrrchur? We need a competitive advantage here! Glarp!" He encourages their Dhesiri ally.
Not wanting to risk a clever manoeuvre which might end in disaster, and judging it an inappropriate time to burst into song, Will concentrates on hacking away.

OOC: If I could interrupt the spell casting, what about 'Oh, go away!' spell. It will succeed with its resistance and it will try to tear Firdle apart. But it must get through us. If it goes berserk, we can try another 'put the boot,' into it tactic and quickly end it before others advance?
Oh, yeah, Dwarf using Axe and Targe 17d6+56...
