Is there a Problem with Tavernmaster:
I am getting an Error 403, whatever that is. It must have only happened in last few weeks, but even goggling and I get the error message?

The error suggests something going on with the web-host. What, specifically, may be the issue is beyond what I can see from the resulting landing page. I'd check their socials but I didn't see any accounts listed on the pages accessible from the Wayback Machine. I don't have access to Twitter or the Tome of Visages to see if there are any posts suggesting a known issue. darrght, would you have any info that could be passed along? |

Hello My Fellow Trolls, Our free hosting has been lost, so we're considering what to do with the site. As per usual, we're a bit slow at getting on with it. We are still working on new T&T material that will be released on DriveThru as per usual  |

There is a staggering array of options out there, I'm sure Tavernmaster will find the option that fits. In the event that you're still weighing options, take a look at Freeshell (a.k.a SDF.org). It requires a bit more of a technical understanding regarding how computers work than other, more popular, sites. The advantage, to my mind at any rate, is that they've been around, continuously, in one form or another, since 1987. I've had an ARPA membership for almost 20 years, now. Cost me 1$ via snail mail to validate my account, keeps out the 'anonymous' bad actors, and another 36$ for the lifetime membership (I didn't need the membership but I got tired of using zmodem protocols and ssh for file uploads and wanted access to FTP. Seems options have changed some since then). Best of all, no adverts. I. Hate. Adverts. For a commercial account it'll take more to set it up as more options are needed. But, if you have a geek on the team, it could be a viable option. |
