With the renewed interest in solo adventures...namely with the reprints of the Fighting Fantasy line, might not drawing attention to the T&T solo line of game books be beneficial to the T&T line as a whole?
That's one thing that T&T has over the d20 behamoth...simplicity that lends itself to both group and solo play! Would a focus on T&T's solo capbilities be a viable endevor to draw more people to this wonderful game?

Just looking at the site, they appear to be doing a slight revision of history. Forest of Doom was number 3, but they've listed Deathtrap Dungeon as 3rd.
Interesting. I wonder if they are changing anything in them, beyond fixing typos and the like.
I didn't know about the T & T basis for the format. Nice detectoring, Skathros - have an Exalt!

Well, d**n! That was FAST! Got my solos today. The two formats have me torn as to which i prefer. The Corgi paperpack ones are nice and compact...plus you get a breif repeat of the rules (which is nice). The larger FBI/Blade ones are nice as well and look more lie gaming products and less like books (which, also is nice). In other words, very happy with my purchase! Both FBI and Corgi have beutifule cover and interior atwork, BTW!
Anyone know when Dark Temple was released? The cover art seems a little more "modern" (for lack of a better term).

I can tell you that at least from my perspective, I played it for about an hour and a half (keep in mind that I was doing six other things, so that was about twenty paragraphs) and all that seemed to 'happen' was travel. I never finished, either with death or victory because (seemingly) nothing happened which would threaten my character-a dwarf. I still have my place marked, my character sheet is still stuck inside the booklet, and it wasn't a great loss at the time (I have a stable of hundreds of characters).

Dark Temple is one of my favorite solos. It does have a fair amount of travel in it, and without being able to put my finger on the exact reasons why, it has a bit of a different vibe to it than the FBI solos from the '80s. One interesting thing to note is that there is a section where it asks if you are a "priest" character, which was a class option only presented in an issue of Sorcerer's Apprentice. I always thought that was odd. Oh, it also has more sections in it than most T&T solos, though I'm not sure that actually made it longer, just less linear.

This one stood out to me also (I no longer have a copy of it), but I thought it was a pretty brilliant design. The travelling/passage of time system is really neat, and the writing was good. It felt like a more 'sandbox'-ish approach, even though there were time-critical aspects to the story.
