Ach! I meesed it!
Happy Belated B-day, Order!
I offer an exalt for making it another year... if that's not worthy of an exalt, nothing is!
Mahrundl, one for you, too, for your eagle eye. Thanks for posting this.
EDIT: Hmm. After exalting Mahrundl, the exalt option has disappeared from my screen. It appears Order's belated b-day present will be a bit more belated yet! Sorry. I'll put it on next time the screen allows me.

You can only exalt once a day, I think.

Thanks guys. Forty's no big deal, I wonder why everybody fears it.... Speak for yourself, Buddy! My 40th B-day came with a >!BANG!< I didn't fear it coming, but when it came, it taught me the meaning, lol. (Well, not really lol). 8 months later and I'm still picking up the pieces of a shattered life. That's why I feel so much for Boozer right now... when your whole world collapses in an instant... d@mn, it's hard. And it happened to me exactly on my 40th Birthday. Birthdays will never again be something to celebrate. Man, I'm angsty today, lol.

You can only exalt once a day, I think. Something like that, anyway. I think that moderators can exalt more frequently than regular members - maybe every 8 or 12 hours? - and admins can exalt as often as they want. It can be a bit annoying, but I suspect that it leads to slightly more thought in exalting than might otherwise occur.

I hope you're managing to glue at least some of your life pieces back together, Fenris. A friend of mine recommends Irish whiskey and the singing of the blackest, most depressing songs that you know, for those times when the world is a bleak and desolate place. Urg. Extreme tiredness is making me less coherent than normal. Did that make any sense?

Sorry to hear about Exploding Lives etc...but for me, my life didn't seem to come together until last year, so I guess it balances out one way or another... Truth is, I was miserable...crippled by Arthritis and Depressive at 12- Out of shape and Near-suicidal at 22- Bitter, angry and unemployed at 34- Interlinguinal Hernia at 32- By 39 I was approaching my physical apex(best shape of my life, honestly) and finally found a peace i'd been searching for the better part of my life...still Cash-poor woefully Single, but i'm happy with it. Mind you, tomorrow could be right out of Gamma World, but i'll let it happen when it happens. Maybe i'm doing this whole Life thing in Reverse gear, I dunno... Mahrundl, I recommend a Toasted Almond Dark Roast, applied Intravenously if possible! ;D Fenris- without knowing the particulars of your experiences, i'd still like to recommend: Psalm 37 Psalm 77 Psalm 84 I've never found a Storm these passages couldn't pull me out of, or at least give me my footing to brace against. Oddly enough, I only found comfort in the Book around 38 or therabouts, so maybe i've found the explanation for my Mid-life Anti-crisis right there!

I wouldn't advertise that your daughter's legal, now.

I wouldn't advertise that your daughter's legal, now. But it's not as much fun if they're legal... ;D
