Talonfire-check the Magic Sub-forum, under 'Sword & Sorcery Alt. Magic Idea' . Also, Apeloverage has it on his website(along with every table that's ever existed, methinks).
The table you mentioned would work, but since it's a 3D+ ST(or Kremm) cost on a sliding scale, I don't think it's quite what Fenris was looking for. Also, the Chart Roll substituted for the actual spending of ST/Kremm, which is why the Bad Stuff hits so early on that chart... ;D

Fenris, Order99's concept of Magic Corruption could be adapted perfectly to attacting demons. I could not find the original post, but his table could be customized easily. Allows you to pick ever stronger (or more) demons with higher level spells. Talonfire, was it this? The Price of Foul Sorcery

Yep, mahrundl you found the post. Thanks!
I still think the basic concept is adaptable. You could even use Stormbringer, RuneQuest, Sorcerers of Pan Tang, or even Elric! as inspiration for demons. Higher cost spells attract bigger or more demons.
Example for spells costing: 3-6 Safe-for now... The spell caster subtracts the cost from their ability to hide from demons for a number of hours equal to the Wizard's Level . 7-9 There's a Wizard nearby, and all know it... There is no hiding from demons for a number of hours equal to the Wizard's Level. 10-12 Darkness approaches. 1d6 Minor demons are attracted with MR 3d6 each. 13-15 Darkness closes in. 2d6 Minor demons are attracted with MR 3d6 each 16-18 Gnashing of Teeth - A winged demon drops from the sky with MR 40 x Wizard's level 19-21 Touch of Madness - A demon appears within the ranks attacks the Wizard with a MR 80 x Wizard's level. 22-24 Soul Sipping Demon - Instead of attacking the Wizard, this demon tracks him draining his power. Next spell fails without warning. 25-27 Soul Draining Demon - a more persistent demon that the soul sipper. The Wizard cannot recover from spell casting until this demon is dispatched MR equal to Wizard's Level x 60.. 28-30 Demon Ridden- roll 1D. For that many days you are prone to brief blackouts, during which you may babble blasphemies or lash out at others...friends(if you HAVE any) may need to restrain you. 31-33 Demon Ridden - roll 2D. For that many days you are prone to brief blackouts, during which you may babble blasphemies or lash out at others...friends(if you HAVE any) may need to restrain you. 34-36 Nocturnal Pursuit - Hidden demons aid foes in next combat doubling their effective MR or HPT. 37-39 MONSTER!!!- Roll 6Dx30 for MR, an Unnatural Thing appears through a bleeding rift in space and tries to eat you! 40-42 Heart of Darkness-Hidden demons aid foes in next combat tripling their effective MR or HPT. 43-45 Darkness Marks You- Demons mark the Wizard for death. The Wizard cannot hide from demons any longer. 46-48 Darkness Seizes You- Demons strike out at the Wizard doing 4D Spite damage. These demons drag off any pieces they can to consume in their demonic layer.
Of course, this is just a short list using Order99's table for a template
