There's a nice, full-page style character sheet included in the back of the Dark Temple solo that I assume is the very same as the T&T character sheets that were sold long ago.
I really like the look and feel of these. Does anyone know if there are any online anywhere? (I don't want to have to potentially mess up the binding of the book by slapping it on my scanner.) I know there are character sheets, but I mean online versions of this very same sheet.
I was also thinking of making a slightly modified version of this same sheet with a space for skills and a couple of other very minor changes. I've never done such a thing. Any suggestions for what to use to accomplish this? I already know the T&T title font, but I don't know the other fonts used on the character sheet, etc. Anyone have any clue on that matter? If I make one, I want it to look exactly like the one I've mentioned.

Skath, The T&T font is the Algerian font.

I scored some mint condition Fifth Edition Character Record Sheets. They're even still in their still-taped baggie. (I've no idea if they've ever been opened before or not.)
This is indeed the same sheet as in the back of Dark Temple, with the exception that these are printed on goldenrod paper.
Now, if I could just scan one and somehow turn the goldenrod part white in The GIMP or something, then I could easily print 'em out. I could print them exactly as scanned, but I don't know how my printer would treat (and subsequently print) the goldenrod color. It'd probably look tacky with the colors being printed in stripped lines as it does with large segments of solid color. Hm.

You need a higher quality ink-jet, or better yet, a colour laser.

That would be nice. They're pretty pricey, though.

They are, but compared to the amount of money you might spend on ink they are very cheap per page. Buy less ink and save the money for a laser.

Oh, believe me, I've been considering in for that reason. But I forsee such a purchase being in the not-so-near future, however.

This is where having a flatbed scanner, Photoshop, Pagemaker, and Adobe Acrobat comes in handy. Some time ago, I scanned in T&T 5.5 character sheets, saved them as graphics, placed them in Pagemaker, and converted them to pdf Acrobat documents. There were two versions of the sheets, so I did both of them.
I'm not (just) saying this to make anyone salivate or suffer, I'm getting to something here ... I don't know if it is legal or not, but if someone checked and gave the OK on it, I might see about including these for anyone interested in them. I'm still new here, so I don't want to commit any faux pas by doing anything wrong. If someone here said it was legal to provide the sheet to members here (if there is a way to do so), I'd be happy to provide it. Please let me know if anyone is interested in this (and if it's legal!!

Hm. Since it's legal to photocopy them for your own personal use, then would distribution for free be much different? Would that still be considered "Fair use"? I dunno. I would assume so, but whadda I know? I'm not a lawyer.
Having said that, I don't really think Ken and/or Rick would mind terribly.

I would have to second machfront. Distributing character sheets for free is just good press. Now look to "that company" for your standards. It took "that guy" a few years to become a legit distributer. uburoi hehehehehhh ;D I totally understand you. I hated coloring in my d20 with that stoopud white crayon... Thank goodness T&T frees us to use Monopoly dice!

I would feel comfortable if a Staff Member would say it's OK to do so, but I either don't have the ability to post attachments here yet, or I don't know how to, and I have looked. I cannot physically "copy" and "paste" them, and would appreciate if someone here would tell me what to do.
I would be more than pleased to share them with everyone here who wants them. Everyone here has been very nice.
