Man, I go away on vacation (holiday, for my friends across the pond) and significant stuff actually happens. Seriously, the news that "that company" now has sanction is very welcome. Does that mean that they will be changing their name to Sheriff Press?

Does that mean that they will be changing their name to Sheriff Press? No, no, no, LionRampant. The 'marriage' between the two companies means that they'll now be called In-Law Press...

The best part of Outlaw Presses arrangement with FBInc will be having a very active publisher. That should help with worries about T&T being officially supported. AND people owning 6e state that it comes across as a series of House Rules. 6e may be closer related to the stillborn "House Rules 2000". That would be great! I have always thought the fan base needed to put their House Rules together into a single publishing.

20 years and thousands of dollars later, T&T is still my favorite rpg. In fact, with the current crop on the market, T&T is my new favorite game... during the 80's there was so much great stuff out there, it was hard not to spend time on different things.
Nowadays, with nearly everything being based either on d20 (which I don't particularly find to be a very good game), or from WW, and with core rulebook prices running up to $40 a book (and a minimum 3 books to get everything you need to play!), well, I'm finding there's a lot to love about my already all-time favorite rpg.
So where is the T&T love? It's right here where it always was! The board may have gotten kind of quiet, but I have no life, I'm suddenly single, and no friends in the area... I don't have much else to do but write on forum boards (as if ya haven't already noticed! ;D )
So if anyone wants T&T discussions, trust me, post now, and you'll get 'em. I can't guarantee you I'll give an intelligent discussion, but there's nothing I'd rather chat about!
Vin, many many thanks to you for taking the time to put this board up. I've spent the last several months on a very nice D&D3e board with a group I've come to know and really like, but I've always felt like something of an outsider, able to discuss the hobby as a whole, but knowing nothing about the game itself. It was a discussion about the game that led me here... frustrated that none of my comments had any weight, because I didn't know what I was talking about.
This place is like Home. Thank you.

You know, it's weird... I've never understood why, whenever I say the words, "oooh, roleplaying games are so cool, let me tell ya about them" to people, their eyes get this strange glaze over them, and they seem to fall into a trance. At least, I never understood it until the first time I heard someone say, "Yeah, and I've been using my skill tree because I'm going specifically for a favored prestige class!" Suddenly, I understood. To this day, every time I hear those words, my brain tries to wrap my spinal cord around my throat and strangle me to death before the speaker continues. Unfortunately, it has yet to succeed. Hopefully next time.... ;D
