Quite cool. I will put that on my schedule and see if I can make it. Maybe we can have some v5.5 vs. v7.0 rumbles in the hallways. One comment, though: does anyone know when we need to sign up by? Considering that the convention is 10 months away, I figure I won't sign up until next spring, but if Rick needs numbers sooner than that I could always try to firm up my schedule by March.

I don't know when we need to sign up by. I'm going to do it after Christmas. I think that it's probably better to do it sooner than later, as the tally will tell Rick how to scale the plans.

The wife and I are looking over out budget plans, but it looks like the two of us will be going for the trip.

Considering that the convention is 10 months away, I figure I won't sign up until next spring, but if Rick needs numbers sooner than that I could always try to firm up my schedule by March. From the comments I've seen, I think that they intend bookings to close around the end of June. I don't think that they are open yet, but it wouldn't hurt to contact Rick to let him know that you're going. Give him an idea of the magnitude of the task he's taken on...

Nice! lionrampant and dalton!!! rlotze sounds like another definite! This is going to be a great convention. khaydhaik are the conditions just right? We already have four commitments from RadioFreeTrollworld and three definites here. Let's get our reservations in asap. (Just after Christmas is good too). Notice that FBInc announcement has Ken coming to the Convention. He did not sound interested when RFT emails got excited about the Convention. I wonder did Rick and Liz turn him around? Or did people showing a real interest do it? Hmmm, we'll have to ask him in person. I am bouncing off the walls with joy!!

There were also a couple people on BlueFrogTavern and on rpg.net (though those bsterds wouldn't let me put the announcement in the "General" forum and had me put it in the "get togethers" (or whatever) forum. Compare: General forum has 200+ readers at any one time, the "get togethers" forum has 8. Bah! Humbug!
So, a few people from here, a few from rpg.net, a few from RadioFreeTrollworld, a few from BlueFrogTavern, and a few from Trollhalla. Now the question is: how many of those are repeats?!? lol
Ah, but I wouldn't start counting people yet. I think there's quite a bit more we can do to advertise this sucker.
I'm certain that we'll get 10 people, but I'm hoping for 20.

Well, for us, it is the wife and I so that would make two. (10 percent of the total, wow!)
With Ken and Rick, we are all ready at the twenty percent mark and we have enough for a game of euchre.
Add Mike and Liz and we have covered 30 percent of your projections.......
So all we need is fourteen more and we have a twenty person tnt convention.
(Don't forget "that guy" as he will likely show up, being all legal now anyway)
If the guaranteed crew show up with wives and family, it will be enough for one great picnic/game/holiday.
Best regards
Dalton

There may be a few duplicates here and there. I am doing my best to convince "that guy" to attend. I think he would find a warm welcome as both merchant and gamer. I have even sent out an email to one of the Amazon.com T&T sellers to see if he will come. For the business minded, this can be a business trip. Hint, hint
I know six unique people who are attending. The number doubles among the people I don't know as well. AND I have not counted Rick, Ken, or the other T&T originators.
At this point, I will not be surprised if at least 20 people show. I am counting on people to register early to give us better numbers.
I'll be bringing my wife and stepson along and will include his best friend if interested. My wife won't play, but she still wants to vacation in Arizona to visit our niece and her childhood friend. We're taking more time than just the 3 days for the Convention. I am treating this as a full blown vacation. Only for three days I'll sit around the Convention playing T&T and sharing stories and ideas.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there are duplicates. I know that I'm one. I think that's okay, considering that there's 10 more months left to recruit folks to attend. Keep working on "that guy". He's just got to attend! My brother doesn't know it yet, but over Christmas I'm going to win him over to T&T and then get him and his female life partner (?!?) to attend.

"that guy" made a comment recently on one of the Yahoo! groups that he intends to go, now that he (i.e. "that company") is 'official'.
