The discussion on SR's in combat made me think of something.
A solitaire adventure where you can "negotiate" the level of SR's you have the make (see the combat example in the 5e T & T rulebook for an example of "negotiating" with the GM).
You start the adventure with a certain number of points. Call them "goodwill points", i.e. how much goodwill exists between you and the "virtual GM".
You can spend these points to reduce the level of SR's during the course of an adventure. To reduce an SR by 1 level, spent one (1) point. To reduce an SR by 2 levels, spend three (3) points. To reduce it by 3 levels, spend seven (7) points, etc. To reduce an SR from level one (1) to automatic success, spend five (5) points. This is to represent the give-and-take between GM's and PC's.
I guess at the beginning of the adventure, you would roll 3d6 or whatever to see how many points you have.

Very interesting idea! It would be especially interesting for the solo to reward goodwill points as a reward for reaching different paragraphs. For instance playing a Troll in a Troll Dungeon may get points for eating a dwarf. While a human travelling the same dungeon gets penalized.
Maybe actions could be merged with a Goodwill Matrix?
Here's a exalt!

Great idea. How about a number of points equal to the character level.
When doing a solo 'career' i give 1 do over roll to a character each time he goes up a level, and each time he completes a solo. This is a more sophisticated version. I like.

I was actually thinking of the Goodwill Points being more of a metagaming thing that's unrelated to your character. It's supposed to be the solitaire equivalent of what happens when the GM says:
Okay, a jaguar bursts out of the bushes in front of you, make a L2 SR on LK to avoid getting jumped on.
Wait a sec, a L2 SR? C'mon? I would've heard at least a warning! It should be a L1 SR on LK.
Hmmm...okay, sure. L1 SR on LK, it is!
This would be unrelated to character level. Anyway, if you've got a high level character, he doesn't need more points!
Another thing that occurred to me is that the points could also be used to change the attribute required to make an SR (within reason).
I.e.
Okay, a jaguar tries to jump on you. Make a L2 SR on LK to avoid it.
What? It should be a SR on DEX! I'm trying to dodge it right? Where does LK enter into this?
Hmmm...sure, go ahead, make it DEX.
The finite number of Goodwill Points is used to simulate that eventually, the GM is gonna get fed up with your meta-gaming so you basically have to use your judgment on not annoying him too much.

1, 3, 7 points? I like the idea, but do you have any system to those numbers, or did you just grab them from thin air? I do support the latter, but it will make them harder to remember for some forgetful sods like me.
