Hi folks, Anyone have an opinion on Isle of Darksmoke? What's it like? Is it any good? What party levels is it aimed at? Thanks

Thanks I'm thinking of buying a "Summer Special" Darksmoke is one of the many goodies lurking inside and I've often wondered about it. Cheers.

darksmoke is for low levels, although brand new first level characters might have a hard time with it. it is probably the best all-around GM adventure officially published. lots of potential...it's too bad the second level was never published.

Wow! That sounds promising... Might have to snatch up that Summer Special while it's still there!

I liked 'Isle of Darksmoke' a LOT, very good module in the true style of T&T. Definately worth picking up a copy. d**n shame the next level was never written/published. Same goes for Uncle Ugly's Underground, one of my all time favourite RPG modules. Why weren't these next levels written/published? We will probably never know...

I suppose they didn't sell enough copies to warrant digging additional levels.

Darksmoke is certainly worth picking up. In fact, the Summer Special is a helluva deal, and well worth your hard earned cash! I have used this in two ways. The first was as the basis for a "shipwrecked" campaign, where the players washed ashore on Darksmoke. The other was in a smaller campaign, where Beyond the Silvered Pane was a shop in the city and I used several of the rooms as destinations for a trip into the mirror.
Also, the rooms themselves can be easily dropped into your own dungeon with minimal changes, and even into that other system.
