The floor plan of the Troll's Trove is now up. Does anyone know of a suitable freeware programme that I could use to turn this interior into a more professional looking image?
Cheers

Hogscape, you could try the products from MapMage? If you take a look here web.ukonline.co.uk/angora/atankmap.htm there's an example of one of their packages. They offer several software packages but you have to pay for the best ones. I have them all so I'd be happy to do a map for you if you wish. Or you could use AutoRealm, which is free to download but a bit of a pig to get used to. www.rpglibrary.org/software/autorealm/. If you look here web.ukonline.co.uk/angora/Rage.htm and take a look at the PDF file for the adventure, you will see some basic interiors created using AutoRealm. Then of course there is Dungeon Crafter, which I think you have already, but again, I have dowloaded all the free extra tiles and images so if you need any help feel free to ask. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the tips Boozer. AutoRealm looks nice (I've downloaded it) but a bit too 'AutoCAD' for my humble brain.
MapMage also looks nice but my disposable income is currently running into the red at an alarming rate so I can't make any non-essential purchases just yet.
The Rage interiors are excellent (in fact the entire adventure is a beautiful production). If you could a go at creating the Trove for me in your scarce spare-time that would be much appreciated.
I do have some of the additional tilesets for Dungeon Crafter but using customer tiles is much less user-friendly than using the default sets. Where might I find some more?
Thanks again Boozer!

Hey, Boozer, what mapping tool did you use for Goblin Crag - this brilliant!

The maps were done in Dungeon Crafter by the Chimera Hobby Group in Italy, then spruced-up a bit in Photoshop. Nice work by the Italians! I think they used the basic tiles with some of their own custom drawn ones. The result is excellent as you say. Check-out 'Map of the Month' over at the Tavern, that's Dungeon Crafter too, but without any additional work or special tile sets. web.ukonline.co.uk/angora/mapmonth.htm

That is an excellent map. In fact I might use it for a dungeon bash!

So, Hogscape, any idea when we can expect to see the rest of the Skolari Vaults?

Hi Branderwydd, thanks for your interest. I ended up re-writing the whole thing from start to finish for publication in the Hobbit Hole - starting with issue 6. I've included plenty of new stuff and given the whole project a serious edit. Hope you like it.

hogscape~
when you say you've rewritten the whole project for HH6, does that include millet's crossing and all of the skolari vaults? what exactly will be included?
i'm looking forward to seeing what's been done, as i rather enjoy your style.

Thanks very much Braderwydd.
Only the first part will appear in Hobbit Hole 6 along with a short story following a bunch of delvers 'doing' the dungeon.
The re-write included a more detailed background, adding bits to areas that were previously 'empty' and tacking on extra rooms and passages to make it worthwhile for readers to revist the dungeons. I also changed quite a few existing entries to make them more or less challenging after playtesting with 7e. In many cases, the critters needed a boost!
The entire project includes the village of Millet's Crossing (and the surrounding area), the Dungoen of the Rat (beginners dungeon) and the four-level Skolari Vaults 'upside down castle'.
I tend to be a bit verbose when I'm writing so I don't know at this stage how much will get into each issue but from what I've seen of issue 6 it's looking pretty good!
