Never introduced myself so here goes.
My highschool career in the 80's consisted more of dungeons and tables than chemistry and algebra. I was the kid that turned the aluminum foil of his sandwich into a six sided dice. Drew numbers on the six sides of a pencil to roll them in the back of chemistry lab (Yes, it is true my friend and I actually played D&D with an open faced frog on the table infront of us).
Work, age, moving, life, fads whatever pulled me away. Tried playing d20 (D&DFD or D&D for dummies) but it is NOT the same as those thrilling days of aluminum and chem lab. Worked hard on play by post but needed the tabeltop.
Discovered ONE week ago. I am getting my RPG cigar shop group (yes we play in a cigar shop) into T&T. Would love any suggestions, advice, sources, and anything at all.
Happy to be Trollin' here in New Orleans!

Welcome to the Bridge! Playing T&T in a cigar shop in the Big Easy... that gives a whole different meaning to "smoke filled room."
As far as suggestions, advice, etc., check out the posts here. People are usually discussing rules or ways to play the game better, so you should find a good amount of help. Always feel free to ask questions, too. We haven't bitten anyone's head off yet.

Hallo! I've been playing RPGs since I was in Elementary school, but only just discovered T&T. I've got the 7th edition pdf and have the 5.5 edition on order, and I'm liking what I see so far.

Greetings Leftwingpenguin!
It's always good to hear from people who have just discovered the game. May it give you as many years of pleasure as it has me!

I just can't wait for my Summer Special #1 to arrive! One of the reasons I'm really excited about T&T is the possibilities for solo gaming. I'm living in Japan at the moment, and aside from my wife, I've got nobody to game with and quite a bit of free time. If I enjoy the solo adventures that come with the Summer Special, I'll probably order Summer Special #2 as well.

Hmmm... after seeing all trolls hereabouts, I'm thinking I might need to change my name... Really Punkelf is just a standard handle I use. Anyway, I started gaming 1982 with Basic D&D. From there I became hooked, and began collecting games, and even managed to play a few. Mostly played, 1e ADD, Villains and Vigilantes, Bunnies & Burrows, and T&T. (Don't know why I stuck with the alliterative-ampersand titles, just happened that way.) Did some minis too, mostly Car Wars, Melee, and Wizard. The past few months, I've been itching to do some rpg. Broke down and got a passel of Space 1889 stuff, but haven't been able to do much more than read it. Reading about 4e got me really feeling nostalgic, and I started re-collecting 1e ADD stuff. Looking for old school rpg stuff took me to Dragonfoot, where I heard about 7e. So I started obsessing my online searches for T&T stuff. Got the pdf of 7th, and plan on ordering the summer special #1 soon. I'm really impressed by the fan-community for this game. Humbled even to see that a lot of the folks who have the coolest T&T websites are on here. After 17 years of not gaming, besides maybe skimming over books at bookstores, I'm really out of touch with modern games. The ones I've looked at, just really leave me feeling blah. Except of course, for T&T.

Welcome punkelf It is a pleasure to see a new face here. The high number of trolls is due to our illustrious Trollgod Khenn Aarth and his Trollhalla fan club. If you are aching for additional material, check out "that company" www.geocities.com/hobbit_lands/index.html. James has a huge collection of new material and apparently has mended some broken fences with FB-Inc. This is a fun crowd of gamers. I have found quite a few willing to chat and even collaborate on small projects. As for myself, RW all too often gets in the way of visiting on-line more often.

Welcome, PunkElf! Don't worry too much about any perceived lack of trollishness. There are a few non-Trolls hanging around, and the worst that happens is that they get spat on a little more often... Seriously, don't bother changing your name just for that. Glad to have another newcomer on board. Take a look around the site, there's a terrific range of fascinating stuff posted.

As long as you're a punk elf and not related to Keebler, you're welcome here!

WOOT! I found a T&T support board. My name is Scott and I am 32 y/o living in Sin City, NV. I was recently re-introduced to T&T at Strategicon in L.A. I had two friends with me who fell in love with it. As such, I have re-invigorated RPG gaming in my group and created a frothed up group of T&T fiends. I have been gaming since 1988 when a friend of mine got me into 1st ed. AD&D. I have played and own many RPG rule sets. I still collect and read them to this day, but I have not played for many years. My deepest and most troubling addiction is to pewter minis and tabletop mini games. If I could tie off and inject pewter it would probably be less troublesome and take up less space. I am a a member of the Las Vegas Gamers Club(LVGC) we have a yahoo group that you can check out if you are visiting or living in Las Vegas. We are a Games Workshop centric club. I also belong to a garage group that deems itself the Lords of Excess. Any fellow Las Vegans, please send me a PM if you want to talk or hang sometime. Thanks to Vin for starting and maintaining this tome of knowledge and thanks to all who have written here and set my brain on fire for some hot, sweaty T&T action.
