Thurgood enters the room and advances along the eastern wall keeping the western arch and the corner leading to the eastern door in sight.
With long sweeping glances he tries to determine if any of the trash piles are large enough to act as concealment for hidden humanoids, While making his way to the corner nearest the door.

Ponto shows everyone what he's found - a pouch with 16gp, and a ring.

"Hold tight to that ring Ponto, when I have a moment I shall check the ethers and determine if it carries any beneficent enchantment" OOC: Later on I'll Detect Magic on it.

I want to make sure and give everyone enough time to post up so far we've got Bjorn, Thurgood and Antonio in the room with some attention being paid to the door. You who are keeping an eye on the piles of debris are seeing nothing untoward. There are some bolts of cloth among the piles that do not look too damaged. There are some small boxes lying around, some open, some closed, some smashed to bits.

Koblenz will keep a ready hand on his chakrams and keep an eye on the door we entered by - assuming everyone's in the room.

Bjorn carefully sets down his torch on a bare section of the floor and moves to the door on the southern wall. He checks to see what direction it appears to open, if there is a lock, and how sturdy it is. After a quick inspection he quietly puts his ear to the door to listen.

Thurgood will quietly make his way to the northern wall and try to get a look through the upper western arch and see what lies beyond it.

You enter the room. Thurgood and Antonio go to the north wall, keeping their eyes on the piles of debris, and see none that hide humanoids. They make their way west into the center of the room to look through the arch and torchlight reveals only a hallway extending straight west into darkness.
Ponto begins rummaging through nearby piles. The cloth looks like it was torn up by hand with no intent other than simple- minded deastruction. Perhaps they just liked the way it sounded...in any event, you've found several small boxes, all but two opened and empty or smashed to various states of disrepair.
Koblenz keeps an eye on the eastern archway with chakrams at the ready.
Bjorn examines the door. The hinges are not visible, the door looks like it would be pushed open. There is a simple latch. It is a close fit in the frame. Putting his ear to it, he hears some fast breathing, the occasional shuffle of slight movement. Then a hoarse grunt, just on the other side, similar to the vocalizations of the opponent faced earlier - and a bang on the door from the inside - like a ham-fisted blow to the door.

Thurgood will make his way to the wall opposite the door and be ready with his staff should something come through the door.
He holds himself tense ready to unleash his eldritch might or dive out of the way should the need arise.
OOC: Do you think its possible it got locked in there somehow? Perhaps its trying to lure us into a trap.
This is when you wish you had crossbows, failing that I would suggest someone open the door with a sword or a spear or some junk from the floor.
Someone waits on either side of the door on our side. Bjorn or Antonio on one side and Ponto or Monty on the other side, that way one could hit high and the other could hit low and not interfere with each others attack, or even better the low side could trip whoever comes through the door.
I'll stand by the wall opposite, ready to blunt a charge with magic if there are too many to take from ambush.
That still leaves one person free to plug any holes that pop up ( like something comes through one of the arches ) or back up whoever needs help.
I'd recommend Koblenz he has melee and missile weapons and can switch positions fast if need be, also for reasons of mobility Monty would work to.

Bjorn signals to his companions that there is someone or something in the room behind the door. He nods in agreement to Thurgood's plan of attack. The rubbish can be sorted through later; for now there is fighting to be done. This makes Bjorn smile.
Bjorn positions himself to the side of the door with the latch. Once the others have taken their positions, Bjorn will attempt to open the door using his spear to trip the latch. If that fails he will kick it open and jump aside. If anything comes charging through the doorway he will skewer it with his spear.
OOC: Of course this assumes everyone is on board with opening the door.

They are empty. They are made of thin panels of light wood. The clasps and hinges are functional. 1' long x 6"tall x 6" deep.

OOC: If they are rare wood they could be pretty valuable, you never know. ;D
