Cool. No worries on the armor, let's just play it out and see what happens.

Concerning die rolls:
How would you like them to be handled in the future? I.e. this first SR, would you rather that I would have rolled for you and just announced the results? Or do you want to make all the die rolls yourself?
This first roll is more of an exercise to get everyone on-board and familiar with the die roller, so that future rolls will hopefully go more smoothly.
Also I should perhaps add that I'm not a big fan for rolling dice or making checks (except where luck is the deciding factor), so the better you describe what and how you do something, the better the chance is that it will work without an SR or other die roll.

Personally I like the dice rolling where it makes a difference to the narrative, but I'm happy for you to make that call and roll where necessary to keep things moving along.
If I'm ever tail-end charlie on some response then just go ahead and dice it out.

A mix of GM and player dice rolls would be nice, as a GM I never get to roll dice just for me! But waiting for dice results will slow us down to the pace of a stuffed deodand.
On the subject of dice rolls, do I get a princely 8 Experience Points for rolling a level 1 Saving Roll or do we avoid such nitty gritty? If we are getting gritty, do I edit my character sheet accordingly? ;D

I concur with the aboves. I'd like to roll-my-own, but when and if it simplifies things feel free to make rolls for me.

I agree with the sentiment above whole heartedly! ;D A question, you said in the main game thread "(Remember to record your EP's for the SR. Die Roll x GP Lost/Saved.)" I just wanted to be sure, in my case it would be 13 x 22 = 286 correct? If so I'll amend my character sheet in the PC Roster thread.

Hogscape, you should get a bit more. See Toad-Killer-Dog's post. Toad-Killer-Dog, that is correct although I hadn't thought it would amount to that much when I wrote the ruling. Oh, well, it was a lesson worth learning!

Here's a few snippets from Burke's posts. I'll slot them in here as they may be good adventure opportunities and shouldn't be forgotten. In the north end of the market stands the huge tavern and brothel called The Ruby Flame. Naked slave girls flaunt their wares from the balconies in the reddish light of huge, flaming braziers and the hawkers by the door announce that there is no better place to drink and gamble in the Wild Lands. To the south rises the high stone walls of the Arena. Where convicts and other hopeless face each other, and sometimes terrible monsters, in a battle to the death. To the east, near the east gate, lies the Temple of the Spider God. Wrought in damp, black stone, the whole temple is shaped in the likeness of a colossal spider. Floris:"Now, now, no offense was intended. If you're looking for a place to drink and carouse, might I suggest the Ugly Efreet up by the west gate, near the stronghold of the August Legion? It is owned by my brother Jared and might be better suited to your means. Just tell him I sent you and he may even give you a discount!" Floris: "Be careful, that you do not stray too far to the south or you might come upon the ruins of the old city. An ancient evil is said to dwell there and travelers shun it."

I'm in the process of moving to a new apartment, so I might not be able to post as often, or as coherently, as I would like for the next 7 days or so.

OK, thanks for letting me now. I've been struggling with the Internet connection from my mobile phone the last couple of weeks. My DSL just got hooked up yesterday.
