I've been really busy today, so I'll continue the game tomorrow. Since Salass00 has begun a new turn of coin collecting, everybody might as well chip in. Those who did not roll for the first turn can roll twice.

Map with GM room numbers: Double awesome... Any chance? Do you mean that Salass00 should number his map arbitrarily, or that I should reveal the numbers according to my key? Has anyone by the way recognized the dungeon map? I've made some changes to it, but I did not draw it myself. I have been waiting for some know it all old schooler to recognize it. Reveal the room numbers please Burke and then spill the beans on the map origins....!!! Or else! It's driving me bonkers not knowing.... Grrrrrrr.

Yep, I've been poring over my piles of old TSR stuff looking for it. Give us a hint and I reckon I can find it. Course, if it'll spoil the adventure then nae problem... I'll keep looking

Keep looking PB it's only the Map - not the content.

Mahrundl already recognized the map. Knowing it won't spoil much, but since you have not explored the whole map, I don't think there would be much use of keying it, unless you think its difficult to reference it when playing? For those trying to figure out where the map is from, I'll say this: It is keyed alphabetically and not with numbers and you will have to look to another old school game than T&T.

Ooh, love a challenge. I'm at work but I have an inkling of what it might be - I may be wrong as it's a real oddball, but certain things sort of fit from memory. Would I be off-color in assuming EGG had his name on the cover?

I do love the idea of lifting a map from an earlier game...

Would I be off-color in assuming EGG had his name on the cover? More credit is usually given to one of EGG's holmes for this particular book...

It can't be B1 can it? Where are the mushrooms and pools?
Is there a starting dungeon in the 'blue' book? I can't remember....

I've twigged to it now. But I was surprised to find the oddball map I was thinking of is almost exactly the same.
A little trivia challenge and an exalt to anyone that knows where a larger version of this map was reprinted in 3-D. 1979 publication co-authored by Gygax. Not TSR. Burke I emailed you some thumbnails.

hrmm... Mr. GM, sir? *general indications of penitent trepidation* I have done an abysmally bad job of keeping track of adventure points gained by Verklud, so I'm gonna go back through the threads and try to reconstruct what I might have now... this might take a minute...

That's a good idea. Perhaps you can check that all the treasure is accounted for as well? (But only if someone mentioned that they actually picked it up...) I think you should all be able to level up once you've sold the loot, or at least gotten it appraised.

I may not have explained my gaming style as clearly as I should have when we began, so I'll try to do it now just in case. There is no set plot that needs to be followed in this game. You can do whatever you want within the confines of the map of the Wild Lands. If I present some avenue to explore you do not have to pursue it, you can instead go in the other direction to find some other adventure. It just started to occur to me that perhaps you've been slogging through Móric's basement for so long because you felt that, that was what I wanted you to do. That was never the case and I'm sorry if I did not explain it clearly enough. If you would have chosen to ignore the clues of the missing fishermen at the beginning of the game the region around Móric's tower might at some point have been overrun by the gill-men and you would probably never have gotten to know the amiable wizard, but that would have been just as OK by me. Still I hope you've had a fun enough time and will continue to do so. I have certainly been enjoying the game so far! PS: And if anyone else reading this is interested in joining the game, the door is always open.
