I never got that feeling Burke - I've enjoyed the repeated expeditions because there's still features of interest there! Haven't felt railroaded or anything like that myself - good game (thanks again BTW!)

I'd love to join, but seriously do not have time to post much at present. (I'm lucky if I can manage to keep up with reading the Trollbridge posts, let alone contributing to them!)
It is an excellent game though. Exalt for you!

I'm enjoying the game as well Burke. I was far from tired of Moric's basement; we just kept getting our butt's kicked pretty quickly. A little jaunt in the outside world will do nicely.
As far as treasure unaccounted for in the PC Roster there is the gold jewelry and gold coronet we found in the gill man coffins (someone grabbed these, right?), the kris that I believe Quinlan has, the cats eye and diamond that Varklud found in the wight's chamber, as well as a number of gold gill man necklaces (Poncho has two recorded on his sheet and I know we collected more than that).

No please don't worry, we're having a good time.
I'm surprised you haven't gotten fed up with us running back to the tower to heal and recuperate all the time.
Have an exalt good sir for outstanding acts of Game mastery. ;D

Oh, yeah one thing I was going to clarify as well, was that not all encounters will necessarily be level appropriate. So if something seems deadly or very dangerous, it really might be and should perhaps be staid clear of. As for the running back and forth between the tower and the dungeon is quite alright. I've made wandering monster rolls every time, but so far you've managed to avoid any. I'm really happy that none of you feel that you might have signed up for something else, than what the game actually is.

Facing and fleeing from a too-tough big-bad is a cornerstone of T&T, I wouldn't want it any other way.

I'll likely be without internet for the next 3-4 days.

Huzzah! Second level. I've boosted LK in the hope that it will make amends for my dire DEX (I'll work on DEX later...)
Question: Can I fight with dirk (or similar) in one hand and a sword in the other?

Question: Can I fight with dirk (or similar) in one hand and a sword in the other? You sure can, if you meet the ST and DEX requirements (which I think you do in this case). But of course then you cannot carry a shield and those can be quite useful as well...

Welcome to the game Krzyzewski !! Your elven sister has some sweet stats... pity about the personal hygiene issues.
Will there be any other newcomers to the 1st edition game? I saw some others folks looking around at Rag's 5e game but I think that's taking a short break.
We're just about setting out on the next expedition so I'm sure burke could fit you in. If you don't have a 1st ed rulebook, don't worry. There is a handbook on his website which contains everything you'll need to know. Check the first thread in the forum for details.

I actually invited both Krzyzewski and Eagle after they posted in Rag's part of the forum. As the pace of PbP games is so slow you might as well play in several.

Thanks for the warm welcome! This is my first forray into T&T, and I'm enjoying myself very much so far. My rolls were all linked using the dice roller referenced in the handbook. I got a little boost in some areas by being an elf, of course. I expect to be bullied or threatened, so I made the character less attractive as it were to avoid ... less happy things ... The mud mask is just a literal and psychological cover-up. I recently made my first post to the game and introduced Malhara-la. See you there!

I've twigged to it now. But I was surprised to find the oddball map I was thinking of is almost exactly the same. A little trivia challenge and an exalt to anyone that knows where a larger version of this map was reprinted in 3-D. 1979 publication co-authored by Gygax. Not TSR. Burke I emailed you some thumbnails. While on the subject of maps elsewhere.. I think it's safe now to post the thumbnails. Moric's dungeon on the right is, of course, from the Holmes blue book. The color one on the left is from the D&D Coloring Book that Gygax wrote in 1979. The thumbnail doesn't do it justice. The coloring is something I did with my son years back when we made this into a boardgame - this scan is from a large 2' x 2' poster-board that used to hang on his bedroom wall.... .... and here I am, years later, losing my hand to green slime in the spider room. How cool is that.
