OOC: What the hell.
Drugan screams at the top of his voice.
"One Step closer and your leader dies"

That wasn't quite a 50 Hogscape. ;D It doesn't get worse than that. The hat must've fallen over Quinlan's eyes!

Sorry guys! I just starting adding everything together and I don't know what I was thinking. This was supposed to be a tough fight and not an instant TPK, I can only chalk it up to my inexperience with T&T.
As the monsters go limp at MR < 10, I thought that suitable low level monsters would have 19-29 in MR. I should have taken a closer look at the weapons tables I guess.
Since this was my bad, I'll change my ruling about the separate fights and let you pool your results during the first round of battle. Also the gill-men won't get half adds next round, surrounding you is advantage enough.
ragnorakk, magic and missiles count towards the party's HPT and deal their damage regardless of the outcome.
porkbelly00, good idea with the spear (trident?), that's 19 points off their HPT this round. (I'll update the original post.) Since you're just throwing the spear at their legs (instead of aiming to attack with it), you'll get to make an attack with your Misercorde this round as well.
Let's wait for Alwyn's actions before I sum this up, another 2nd level Laceration should see you through this round.

Poncho hacks away with his Misericorde
1d6 5 + 1 = 6
OOC: Not quite the berserker rage I was hoping for. Thanks for the new rulings burke, I hope we make it through the round. Finding the right balance with T&T is tough but ten of these guys makes this a killer fight. Still, we do have three fearsome wizards on our side and with a little luck we might do enough damage to scare these guys off before they tear us to shreds.

OOC: Just a thought but would a Veil of Shuga over the party cut the creatures' HPT in half for the next three rounds?

OOC: Just a thought but would a Veil of Shuga over the party cut the creatures' HPT in half for the next three rounds? Monsters get their HPT doubled if the battle is conducted in complete darkness. So I think I would double the party's HPT as well...
So Alwyn, what do you do?
PS: Have an exalt for your good ideas to get the party out of this mess!

Alwyn: If I've got enough Strength back (it was down to 8 after the last spell), I'll cast The Veil of Shuga.

Alwyn: If I've got enough Strength back (it was down to 8 after the last spell), I'll cast The Veil of Shuga. Veil of Shuga costs 10 ST points, 9 if you have a staff. Your strength has been replenished (to 14) since it has been over an hour since you cast the Laceration. So even if you're without a staff you can cast the spell.

Alwyn: After casting the spell, I make a run for it.

Poncho: "Alwyn, don't leave without us...! Follow the wizard!" OOC: Burke are any of us still alive after that round? By my calculations we just made it, but all badly mauled and now our wizards are tapped out - we're not going to survive a fight. Since Alwyn has us well hidden under his voluminous skirts for the next few minutes I think we should all cut out while we're unseen. I guess we're heading towards the path of least resistance (Burt is maybe choking out now and I think we took down a few creatures in the center?). Poncho scatters caltrops, in addition to the the usual bodily by-products, as he goes....

<OoC> Death is an occupational hazard for delvers.
If Quinlan's legs are still attached to his body he makes a run for it with the rest. If not, he'll cry "only a flesh wound!" and keep fighting!
Quinlan: "Let's get out of here Charles, whilst we still can!"

Drugan hurls a bitter curse at the gill-men then takes to his heels behind the others.
