You are going above and beyond the call of duty (did it myself at one point). An aging ailing mother takes alot of time and effort.
If your brothers think that you are not doing enough then they musttry to help, it is the only way to be sure of getting things done. If a government agency thinks that you cannot do a good enough job then they need to let your brothers know that they must help. I mean no slight to you but I have learned that things can flow both ways and they should more often than not. It is not my place to say but I have experienced some of this myself. Even kicking in for perscriptions or groceries for your Mom would be something.

I'm very sad to hear the news TKD. I've much enjoyed your posts here, and would hate to see you go. Hopefully everything will turn out well for you and your mum. Hang in there!

Contact Lutheran Social Services and Catholic Social Services. Both will help, not even asking if you're Christian, let alone Catholic or Lutheran.

Sorry everybody, they cut us off for a while, but I'm back now!
Mom is out of the hospital and doing better, I'm a little concerned that they are having trouble finding an antibiotic that will clear the infection out of her system and the stress is doing her no good.
However, they finally have a minimally invasive way to fix the problem once and for all and once she is recovered fully they should be not have any trouble with the surgery.
I can't even say how nice it is to be back, I think I was going a little stir crazy caught up in my head with nowhere to go.
Hopefully I can get back into the PBP games and start writing a little to get my mind going in more congenial directions.
Thank you all for your concern and well wishes, it means more to me than I can say.
