OOC: I'll wait until we find out what the INT saving roll is for before I declare Drugan's next action.
However I wanted to ask would it be possible to toss my crowbar or the flask of oil at the legs of the Gill-Man rushing to engage in the melee and trip him?

The tide of the battle has definitely turned in your favor and the officer falls before your onslaught (your HPT was 44, -6 ST and +12 EP for Alwyn). The remaining gill-man is close to collapsing, but decides to die in a blaze of glory and continues to attack in a berserk rage (HPT: 9).
Drugan hears a door slam to the east followed by hurrying footsteps. Apparently something is coming to investigate and will soon be upon the rearguard! (Roll = EP to those who rolled for the SR. That's 5 points for Alwyn.)
(In answer to TKD's questions: no to the crowbar, but it might've been possible to lob the flask over the vanguards heads. However, a failure would probably have meant that you hit your own people instead.)

"Lads more cat-fish coming up behind us, quick hand me a couple more flasks of oil!"
Drugan hurls his flask off oil fifteen feet back down the corridor where the sounds of approach are coming from.
"Toss a couple more down the hall and we'll light them up as they hit the oil"
"We can watch their flaming bodies broil as they slip and slid on the oil"
Already the fires seem to burn in Drugan's eyes as he matches deed to word.
OOC: Make sure at least two people have torches in case one of us misses the oil, I'll drop my makeshift-staff & crowbar and pick my torch back up.

One flask is probably enough since this is a very closed space. I'll rule that lighting the oil drenched floor is a automatic success and any foes caught in the flames get half their normal defence roll for the first turn.

OOC: Any chance that the Gill-Men might slip on the oil? ;D

Heeding Drugan's warning, Poncho readies his bow and will put an arrow through the first creature that appears. If they keep on coming through the oil he'll try to hold them off with the trident.

Melanthios is apparently surprised by the lone gill-man's berserk attack.
Melanthios' counterattack: 2d6 +4 1 + 1 + 4 = 6

Alwyn suggests charging the remaining gill-man, so as not to be attacked from two sides.

Melanthios is apparently surprised by the lone gill-man's berserk attack. Melanthios could choose to go berserk as he rolled snake eyes (see Berserk Fighting under COMBAT in the PHB), but seeing as the gill-man is already so weak it might not be worth it.

Charles slashes one last time at the crazed gill man hoping to bring it down.
Attack with sax 2+5+1 = 8
"Quinlan, we have this fiend. Cover the rear!"

OOC: Unfortunately Drugan's abysmal LUCK prevents a hilarious Gill-Man slap-stick scene. 4+5 for the dice + 9 for the LUCK = 18
Damage for the Fiery Oil Slick. 3+4+2 = 9 damage.
Drugan throws the torch at the advancing Gill-Men Draws his Misercorde and grabs his Crowbar and engages the Gill-Men 4 for the Crowbar and 1 for the Misercorde for a total of =5 damage.

Charles and Melanthios hack down the last gill-man (HPT: 14), while Quinlan heads back to aid the rearguard. The albatross has just reached Poncho's and Drugan's side as two gill-men come rushing down the dark corridor.
Drugan lobs his torch and it ignites the oil bathed floor. The gill-man in the front is instantly engulfed in flames (damage: 8) and let's loose a horrible shriek, which is cut short as Poncho's arrow lodges itself in the gill-man's open mouth (damage: 5). The gill-man flounders and then topples to the floor.
The second gill-man is also on fire (damage: 5), but is still attacking in a desperate berserker rage (HPT: 12). The gill-man is however no match for Quinlan, Poncho and Drugan who quickly put it out of its misery (HPT: 26).
The way you came from is blocked as the corridor is on fire to the east and is quickly filling up with thick black smoke. Some of the felled gill-men are still alive and lie coughing and wheezing on the floor to the west.

Drugan hooks his crowbar into his belt and retrieves his makeshift staff - Cudgel
"Well lads what the protocol for wounded catfish?"
Saying this Drugan takes the chance to look around the newly opened room and to relieve the officer gill-man of his necklace.
