Hurrah for me!
I just won a copy on eBay... The classic one with the brilliant Danforth wrap-around cover. Looks in good nick too. I remember playing it dozens of times twenty or so years ago but can't remember what happened to it!
Seems a bargain for $11.50 US.
Thank heavens for eBay.

Oh, heck yeah. City of Terrors rocks. Has some of my favorite weird fantasy/s&s art by Liz and even though it's a solo, it's almost a freakin' gazatteer of Gull. You can fairly easily use it as a supplement. It's awesome.

I love that adventure. But you need a somewhat powerful character to survive it. I've always wondered how the locals manage to survive in that city. I guess if you're born there you know your way around. :-}

Had a quick game last night. Rolled up a character with ST 7 and 4 CON - what the heck, he won't last long anyway so let's sail to Gull.
My anaemic weakling is currently resting at the hotel having lost his hand, had it replaced with a clawed gremlin mit and picked up a 500 GP trinket. All without rolling a die in anger or making a single SR.
So, my lad is still alive, 500 GP richer but not a single AP to his name! Oh, forgot to mention, the gods have cut his CHR in half whilst in Gull due to unparalleled depths of cowardice. But come on... CON 4!
Agh!

Take that money and head for the ship! Then go buy yourself some new equipment haha.
My level 2 Wizard who escaped through Rogues Gallery recently only has 1 CHR for being a coward in The Amulet of the Salkti. I guess he doesn't bathe now or something, never takes off that War Gauntlet from Gull. It reeks under that thing.

I would suggest that the characters get together and form a delving party but with such dire Charismas, they'd hate each other!

Well you know how misery loves company! But methinks they'd die arguing before they could swing the first blow against that oncoming Orc Clan.

I started scanning this monster here 2 random notes. First it's put together funny with 5 staples 2 through the cover and then 3 hidden inside, grouping 3 sections together pages 0-6, 7-16, 17-26 [this is the original beige version.]. Anyone who needs to remove rusty staples be aware as you start to take it apart. Second how does Barth Bladehand wipe his errr, umm, nose -Mike

That's weird. I never noticed. But I usually don't use the beige one or the Corgi. They collect dust. I like the color cover since it has all the same art inside plus the nice color. :-P

Can someone verify for me that Zaarg the Vampire get 3 Dice in combat [Wandering People Table second page] I had written over this one so much I could not make it out and had to guess....
Speaking of the new edition Jongjungbu did the update the Stats and Weapons for 5th Edition or is still exactly the same with a new cover?
