If you want to post it here profgremlin I would be happy to turn it into a word doc for you. Thanks, Zanshin. It's not so much the format that's an issue. I have access to a couple of other computers periodically, it's more that the content already written is currently inaccessible. If the deadline is far enough out I won't worry to much about trying to recreate the document from memory.

I have had an idea for the bestiary type section.
Skathros has given a release on using his critters. I thought maybe framing them as a Troll Chefs guide to catching and preparing food. I need a decent name for the Troll whose guide it will be so suggestions would be appreciated . Rough example
Iron Golem , MR 100 x level (etc)
'A very tough outer skin that is impossible to tenderise, and no good eating on the inside. The trouble of subduing these is not worth it. Best avoided'
Elves
MR 30 x Level , High Dex, Bow armed (etc)
This tricky prey does not play fair, frequently hiding and firing pointy sticks at the working troll.Get close and aggressively apply claws and fangs. Perfectly acceptable raw, but can be improved by roasting. A woody quality is appreciated by some gourmets.
What do people think?

Balrog Dipping Sauce - principle ingredients: powdered balrogs blood, red dragon fire gland. To be added to a tincture of ginger root and peppers from the fire salamander. Goes well with deep fried battered pixies. If it doesn't put hair on your chest it'll certainly remove it!

I was popping about on my favorite sites and it occures to me that T&T does not have a presence on Dragonsfoot. They claim to take submissions for any game so I thought it might be worth looking at as another place to put the Trollzine.
As long as contributors give permission to the 'zine it looks like it would be a good place to spread the love.
Zanshin, I have a host of critters that you can use as well. I don't know how to cook them however.

You fellas don't think the (although very amusing) presentation of beasties as culinary delights may make it a lil thick to get pertinent game info from?
Or am I spectacularly missing some other point (which wouldn't be surprising or anythin')?

You fellas don't think the (although very amusing) presentation of beasties as culinary delights may make it a lil thick to get pertinent game info from? That's quite possible depending on the presentation. I'm sure that if you take a recipe format from a typical cookbook it would be possible to use the typical headers to show game info, i.e. Serves: MR 30. Now, if zanshin were to format it as a Troll Field Survival Guide you could have the pertinent game info inserted into the description of the critters with cooking suggestions below them and still retain the flavor of the work.

...and still retain the flavor of the work. *groans....reaches for Tums* ;D But seriously, if it's presented as such, and yet still has a "typical" mechanical game description at the end, say, then I could dig it. I mean, I'm all for the ...ugh... "flavor" heheh... I was just concerned about it being a little too hard to parse if that makes sense.

I was going for mechanical info then culinary descriptions. I am all for clarity too. A kind of intro of 'dishes of the week'
Monsters and Magic would be my template for the stat info - followed by our chefs assessment
Thanks for volunteering your critters Feldrik. I am happy to provide the cuisine descriptions.

(peeking in for a moment from North Carolina...) Right now regarding print vs PDF - I'd LOVE to have print, but that means that there would be a charge, which means the trollbridge lulu storefront would have to have a paypal/bank account tied to it (it doesn't) and then it brings up the whole issue of, well, money... so at least for the nonce it looks like free PDF is the way to go.
We'll see what the future holds, maybe we can manage to put something else together for print and then use whatever money is made to bribe pay for some art or something... that could be nice! If it does go that way I'd like to have some mechanism in place to keep accounts public and transparent and such, and make sure that money got used in ways that were OK with everybody. But for now, free PDF seems like the way to go.
Have good holidays ya'll - or if you are like me (i.e. curmudgeonly), good luck enduring them!

Given the talent we have at the 'Bridge I'm sure we can get a few people to donate a piece here and there. After all it gets the artist 'seen'. We urgently need more material though. Hopefully we can pimp it far and wide and it won't necessarily matter that we may have seen it before?
