Hello,
I'm new to the site. (well I've been lurking for a very long time). I see that there is a reprint of the solo A Sworded Adventure designed for 7'th edition rules. I was curious if there may be reprintings of Arena of Khazan and Naked Doom in the works since the solo can send your character to them. Does anyone think there may be reprintings of those as well?
Thanks, GreenDragon68

To my knowledge, Khenn hasn't said anything about upgrading his old solo's for the newer version of T&T. I've played both under 7.5 rules and found them to be mostly compatible (only a few edits are required - more so in Arena than in Naked Doom, since N-D already adds the "SPD" attribute). Nothing a little logic can't handle.
Of course, if you don't have copies of those adventures, that's an entirely different problem!

I doubt that either of the two solos mentioned will be redone for 7th edition. For one thing, they are hugely bigger than A Sworded Adventure (which in its new form is only 30 paragraphs or so), which makes checking everything substantially harder. Also, Ken has other projects in the works, and it's my understanding that he prefers to work on new stuff rather than rehashing old. He recently asked for volunteers to proof-read some of his new adventures.
Still, this is just my opinion. If you want a definite answer, or as close to one as you'll get, you could ask him directly. His contact e-mail is on the login page at Trollhalla, assuming that you're not already a member there.
Oh, and cheers for de-lurking! ;D

Being a first time player of this game (and first messaged view & responded to on this site to boot) I think it's rather frustrating to purchase a solo adventure thinking that it is complete or at least that I could play it without too much more neccesary besides an understanding of the rules and find that you need two more completely out of print modules to make it worth purchasing in the first place. Everything I've read up to this point says that the older stuff is (at the very least mostly) compatible with later editions, and failing that I bought the rerelease pdf of 1st edition, I found Naked Doom on Scribd, but you know what I can't find available anywhere? Arena of Khazan; the closest thing I can find is "Arena of Khaboooom" and I have no assurance that it will take the place of it. Sure it references it, but do the individual entries match up? I have no idea, and having dropped some money on this game only to find part of my investment was pointlessly incomplete I don't want to take the chance again with some assurance.
My point is this; I can turn my new edition character into a first edition character to play the module, adjust the new edition version to reflect the changes brought on by playing the module(s) and be perfectly happy IF I had access to the original Arena of Khazan, but I don't want to bother if I'm missing (according to this thread more than) a third of the adventure. If Ken would release a pdf of the original, unmodified I would pay him money to use it and play this expansive, replayable, solo module gladly. It would cost very little time, effort or money to do since he doesn't HAVE to change ANYTHING in it unless he's feeling especially nice and can spare a freelancer for a week to add a preface note telling you how to adjust the adventure for new editions or liscense it out to a third party to do and just take his cut of the sales either way. If I knew FOR A FACT that Arena of Khaboooom were him having already done this I'd shut up and make him take my money now, but I don't so I'm on this soapbox.
I'm not asking for much, I just want to be able to use this module. Thank you.

Arena of Khaboooom is totally different. Flying Buffalo still sells Arena of Khazan in print as part of a double solo published by Corgi, here. Scroll down until you find " Amulet of the Salkti & Arena of Khazan as above $5.95".

Mr. Stage, I'm going to do my best to look past your obvious anger and frustration and focus on what I perceive is your desire to play some T&T solos. At this point what we can glean from your post is that you have a copy the 1st Ed. rules, a copy of the Naked Doom solo (of dubious provenance) and, presumably, a copy of A Sworded Adventure (Otherwise, why post in this thread?). There may also be another, more recent, rule set. Is that an accurate assessment? If you're looking for out-of-print (OOP) materials for T&T the best suggestion I can make is to check eBay. The materials aren't frequent but they do come up occasionally. If you're looking to purchase OOP solos directly, try emailing Rick over at Flying Buffalo, they're the official publisher for T&T. He probably won't have anything in stock but the more interest there is in a product the more likely he is to look into the logistics of a new print run. If you're simply looking to play some T&T solos without further monetary investment, I'd suggest picking up a copy of the 5th Ed. Quick Start rules and all the issues of TrollsZine! Both are free and available for download from RPG.net Does that help to point you in the right direction? When you have the time, I'd like to invite you to introduce yourself to the community over in the Introduce Yourself! thread. I'm sure you'll find that we are a friendly and helpful group eager to share our love for T&T.

I didn't mean to dismiss your frustration, deviloftheworldstage, I just didn't have much time. I bought my copy of Amulet of the Salkti & Arena of Khazan directly from Flying Buffalo using the listing I posted above, and my hunch is that Rick still has copies in stock. For the asking price, the double solos are a great deal, and they even include the Corgi Abridged Solo Rules as a preface. Despite the name, it's possible to run an expansive campaign with these abridged rules from 5th edition.

Just to point out, as we are talking of it, Arena of Khazan is completely playable in dT&T. I played through it, barely, with a higher level character in the beta period.
