As has been mentioned elsewhere, Fighting Fantasy books can offer an extensive and fun resource for new solitaires. They can also be fun sources for extra places to detail Trollworld, like Silverton and Port Blacksand. I am playing the books in order, using a rules set that I modded but I forget where I got the base ideas from, it may even have been a link or post off of the Trollbridge back before I had joined or even realised what the Trollbridge actually was - T&T nirvana!
I'm having more fun than my characters though, eight dead so far
Primus 'Prim'
Human warrior/swordsman. First delve was into Castle Ironwood near the woodland village of Millet's Crossing (T&T solitaire). My first ever T&T PC died in the first fifteen minutes of play, slain by the first monster he had ever met - a fat goblin.
Secondus 'Seco'
Human Warrior/archer. First delve was into Castle Ironwood. Slew fat goblin and looted Prim's stuff, slew a small troll and then he got scared and left.
Second delve was into The Old Dwarf Mine near the village of Roksney where he was slain by skeletons.
Trium
Dwarven Warrior. First delve was into The Old Dwarf Mine near the village of Roksney (T&T solitaire) to research his family history and kill some goblins known to infest it. Decided to take along his mate Quattro the hobb rogue. Trium was slain by a crossbow trap but Quatro completed the delve.
Quatro
Hobb rogue and survivor of The Old Dwarf Mine. Fell from the tower in Citadel of Chaos while being chased by Gangees. The falling bit was fine, but hitting the ground was terminal.
Quin Quennial
Human warrior. Survived the Old Dwarf Mine near Roksney village but was then slain by ‘spider’ trap in Scorpion Swamp.
Senary
Elf archer. Also fell from the tower in Citadel of Chaos while being chased by Gangees.
Seath’o’Gladen
Human warrior. Also fell from the tower in Citadel of Chaos while being chased by Gangees. H&S really need to put some railings up!
Septamus
Human warrior. Didn’t fall from the tower… but was then slain by Balthus Dire with his Gorgon Attack. The fourth hero to die in the Citadel of Chaos, so I decided that the book had finally won and Balthus Dire then swept his conquering horde down the valley and all was lost.
Octavius
Human Rogue. Survived the Forest of Doom and Scorpion Swamp! Travelled through Silverton then on to Port Blacksand where he is currently looking for some wizard.
