Already drafting something. That's great! The more stuff we can get together now would be a massive boon for when we try to put issue 15 together. I already know what I want to paint for the next cover and I will more than likely paint it during our TZ hiatus in January. I already have an idea for two articles, and I'll probably write them up during that time as well. Then, when the team gets together I'll have something to contribute. Man if we can just get 5 or 6 other people to write up something, and it doesn't have to be longer than a couple of pages, then we'd have another issue really quick. The more support we get from the community the more issues we'll be able to crank out in a year. I'd love to do 4 issues a year, but I'd also be OK with three or heck, even two, just as long as it's more than 1. Even if people can't write an article there is always something they can do, like creating a monster or a spell. If we can get 4 or 5 people to create one creature each we'd have a new Creature Feature.

I have already approached the individual I spoke about on email alkazar and he is willing to get involved with the article I suggested I don't know what others here think, but at 50 pages including a few adverts, I thought TsZ 14 hits that sweet spot in terms of size; plenty to be getting stuck into but not so much that the temptation is to skim through . If we aim for about that size then we should be able to release 2 or 3 in a year. Maybe do Spring and Autumn releases with a festive special like this year or something similar?

I agree, the fifties seems to be the magic number. Of course, sometimes we're going to get that huge article and there is no way to avoid a big page count, but that will probably be a rare occurrence and with most normal things it should be fairly easy to keep it in the 50's.

I have an idea for a character background of Scions, children of the gods. Is that something that the esteemed editor would be interested in? And likely deadline?

Sounds good, we'll be calling for submissions for issue 15 in a couple of weeks. We're looking at a late March early April release if things go well, but you can send them to me anytime.

So I have drafted a solo, but would appreciate if someone could look it over for errors or stupid things before I submit it.
At present I haven't done more than some very basic formatting or even mixed up the paragraphs properly. I'd like a second opinion before I do much more work on it.
It is longer than I intended (sorry) but being essentially a collection of short vignettes could be cut down quite easily or I could even ditch the actual solo and turn the supporting tables into some kind of small article.

Happy to look, especially as I'm a big fan of article-adventure showing implementation / adventure-article extracting concept pairings....

The Rumours say we'll be making the open call for submitting articles to TrollsZine issue 15 this Wednesday. I'm not sure though, but I'll look into it and tell you what I find out this Wednesday.

I also thought that the page count in issue 14 was good, a good and fast read.

What about an article on popular house rules? I see a lot of those floating around the forum, and a lot of them are once that I would consider using. To have them collected on one place woudl be great! Otherwise I could bore you witho more monsters frome Scandinavia, and/or more t&t poetry...

That would be cool. You'd probably have to get permission from the original authors unless they are long gone and then try to stick the the parts together in some type of order, but I'll take it if you think you can do that.
