For a GM Screen, obtain a pair of hinges for a door, and smaller hinge, suitable for a window. You'll want to find or buy a shoe box lid or similar-sized piece of plywood or pine board. get a smaller piece of wood, about 1"x 6". Get a drill, a ruler, a screwdriver, some sandpaper, and your hammer, and five to seven screws. Either cut the edges off the shoe box lid, or sand the plywood/pine board smooth. Measure to the rough middle of your table, and place the large hinges there, on either side of the table. put dots with a pencil or marker where the screws will go, then repeat the process with the hinges on the box lid or other thing. drill holes in the box lid, plywood, or pine board, place the hinges, and then attach to the table. To hold it up right, put upright, prop the smaller piece of wood against the larger, and fix your third, smaller hinge in place on the screen. You will want it to open upward. fix the smaller piece of wood to the hinge. There is a GM screen.

Incidentally, the two abovementioned entries are merely my attempts at inexpensively creating the needed accoutrements for GMing with a large group. They produce durable, although not perfect items on your gaming table with minimal expenditure. You can line the box with paper towels or soft cloth on the bottom, and/or write your necessary charts/equations on your side of the GM screen with a sharpie (t.m.) or any marker. Alternatively, you can copy the charts as necessary onto papers, if you're running more than one game, and clip those to the screen with paper clips or other fixitives as necessary.

I thought the survival pack that was in the 2007 house rules book was the survival pack (minus some of the other things I believe was to come with it). Flying Buffalo currently sells a T&T bonus pack that contains parts of the survival pack but does not include the charts: it only has a short GM adventure, and two sheets that deal with random encounters and a treasure generator. Unless if I received an incomplete pack by mistake.

Honestly a nice landscape styled 4 panel screen for 7.5 T&T would be really handy. Hide adventure maps behind it, and all the charts and spells summarized. Maybe even the master weapons chart and combat summaries.
I'd buy it.

I started making one a while ago, but never finished it. Perhaps I should dig it out again... (assuming that I can find it!)

Gather the following:
1) small attache case from the local Goodwill (hinged with rigid sides). 2) cheap cigar box from a smoker. 3) roll of clear contact paper. 4) thin paneling (1/8" or so). 5) tiny screws (1/4" or so).
Open attache case and measure the interior dimension, cut thin panel for a tight fit inside the lid. Print out all the charts you think you need immediately and lightly glue to the board for your easily-referenced Shield (secondary charts fit in a small folder). Laminate the panel around the front and sides with the clear contact paper, slide into top for a super-snug fit and screw in corners for extra security if needed-though if you can snug the fit without screws, you have the option to change out panels for GM-ing other games...
Pick a corner on the bottom of the case-use screws to attach cigar box to bottom and sides. With any luck the cigar-box lid will remain closed when the case is fastened, but if not, two small holes and a bread-tie will do the job.
You now have a portable GM workstation, with charts inscribed on the lid and a box for dicebag, pencils, calculator etc, and with room for folders, Rulebooks and game-aids...all in one easy-to transport package! Mine has lasted over 7 years now and was the best three dollars I ever spent!
