Apologies Grrraall, I didn't realise you had it... I know you can post 'files' to the 'bridge but only smallish attachments. There is a Yahoo! group called The Trollbridge Files which would take it. I'd love to host it on my site if you'd like to send it to me? I will PM my email address just in case.

Thanks HS, and an exalt to Grrraall for bringing these two programs to light. I just tried them both and love them, especially Chargen. Been fiddling with it for over and over editing the shopping tables.

Thanks for the exalt, jongjungbu, but I thing that Hogscape deserves it more than I do now that he made the files available on his website. I just sent him Track n'Troll, which should then be available on his website soon. Hogscape, have an exalt !

Yeah I wanted to exalt you both but I think HS had just been exalted shortly before, because nothing happened. *shrug* I'll have to try this Track n'Troll. I've already used the other two apps extensively now. I just wrote a roleplay session for the solo Labyrinth this past weekend in which I used both Chargen and ProDice to play the game. Normally I would not tether myself to a computer for playing (except for Chargen which is way too handy to not use and transfer to a paper sheet), but since I was already at the computer writing the solo session I figured I might as well use the handy ProDice too.

Chargen and ProDice are awesome programmes by the same author. Having seen them I'd now always use them for solo play. Track 'n' Troll looks very similar but it is by a different programmer. It takes bits of CG and PD and puts them together with a whole bunch of other stuff. I'm not going to say one solution is better just different. I like them both and think every T&T player with a Windows PC should have them. Now where's that Grrraall got to, I must thrash him with the Exalting stick! I'm liking Chargen for quick character creation for solos, since the time invested in creating a character for a solo can be sadly lost to an instant death so easily. I prefer to get them ready to go, and then work on their background once they've survived one, if they even do.
As for that Track n Troll, that's handy dandy by far. Almost don't need ProDice at all really with that. It's not perfect, but it is definitely cool...and useful....

I'm glad you found those useful. Now, wouldn't it be great if we could find the authors to encourage them to do more? A revamped version for version 7 would be cool. Chargen and ProDice were written by peter.lewerin@krax.pp.se. I just sent him a test Email to check if the adress is still valid. I'll send Hogscape my personal update for chargen to make it available too. I just edited the weapons and the characters file: you now have the "old races" and the "new races" (e.g. old elves - new elvesthe attribute modifiers have sometimes changed in v. 7) and the old and new versions of the weapons whenever there was a change in v7 as compared to v5.

The hardest part to write is the shoppy store.. The random's dead simple.
