Yeah really! Maybe I should learn French! Well, it would be great, of course, but, more realistically, I could just "reverse-translate" the parts that were added or modified. Those parts were taken from 5E, 5.5 and Ken's answers anyway, so that shouldn't be too difficult. However, my main problem is to have the "french 7E" published and illustrated by Rick. Wish me good luck (I think at least a L5SR on luck is required )

Mm, Zedofan, you're not very optimistic, are you? Actually, my dream would be to have a mega solo for my mega rich warriors, with armies to raise, land to conquer, hordes of dragons to slay, guilds to buy or bribe, etc ;D Thats a pretty neat idea, you could call it "Epic Conclusion" and it could have a rating system at the end of the solo. The more points your rack up by raising armies, gaining a throne, marrying a queen or princess, defeating the armies of the evil ( there are some good ones too! ) Necromancer, freeing the kingdoms slaves, driving off the barbarian horde, lands or estates won, etc, would be tallied at the end and could see where your character was on the "Legends" chart. I don't know might be fun! ;D

None of the characters in any of my games have actually ever had spare cash floating about. In our current game, they are scratching around and pooling their resources to petition the Guild for a new spell.
But maybe you could buy training by spending 'x' gold = 1 AP (maybe 1 to 1 or maybe more)?

Yes, that would be fun. A system I used in the past was to gather "reputation points" or RPs (Ken would probably call that "glory points") depending on the adventures my characters survived. IMO, charisma and the "charisma effects" table are not entirely satisfactory so I drew up a "reputation effects" table. Surviving Buffalo Castle would mean 1 RP; surviving Agent of Death would be at least 10 RP. Then, the total of your RPs should reflect on the way you're treated by NPCs, monsters and other player characters in the next GM adventure. There should also be some connection between charisma and reputation. You could even give names and a character sheet to the main rulers of Trollworld (or any other world for that matter) and give characters a chance to replace them (think about what happens to Chronos in City of Terrors).

I've been working on a non-combat mini-solo since the start of this thread, involving spending some of the cash. Anyone want to help me playtest it? I can't promise quality, but I can promise no cost. Haha.

It started as the running your own guild like my early post I had in here. But then I saw your post above about raising an army, marrying a princess, defeating an army, and I started over with one where you build a stronghold and rule a demesne. I'm not sure how balanced it is though for the realm statistics. For the SR's, I use a modifier table similar to Beyond the Wall of Tears.
Here's the realm's statistics one can record on a card/sheet. These aren't all filled in at the start. Some of them get written in as you go.
Demesne Record
Demesne: ________________________________ Ruler: ___________________________________
Realm Size: _______________________________ Title: ____________________________________
Sovereign: ________________________________ Month: ________________ Year: ____________
Stronghold: _______________________________ Treasury: ________________________________
Antagonist: _______________________________ Loans: ___________________ Interest: _______
Ally by Marriage:___________________________ Population: ____________ Army: ____________
Spouse: __________________________________ Plowed: ______________ Sowed: ____________
Vassal: ___________________________________

Huh. A high-level, land-owning/ruling solo. Cool idea. I like the Demesne Record sheet. "Spouse. Plowed." Is that an exaltation like..."Mission: Accomplished"? Spouse plowed!!! ;D

Be wary you don't reap a bitter harvest!
Our if the character has had sex in any previous Solo how about a chance that their bastard comes and tries to usurp them. ;D

LMAO! That didn't paste well. Really there's two columns and Spouse and Plowed are not right there below each other like that. Funny though. So anyway, yeah I did the Beyond the Wall of Tears method of SRs, so that it could be any level character. But obviously, it's going to take more than a level 1 to start in the solo. I think this solo is meant for anyone with 10,000 gold pieces or more because the cheapest stronghold is 10k. Like I said, I haven't really balanced anything. Thus the post. I may have to cheat and fabricate 10,000 gold since my characters aren't that rich haha.

You could always have a clause in the game that poorer adventurers can use, something like a rich relative dieing and leaving them their fortune or stumbling on an ancient cache of pirate treasure.
You could even make a "Random Fortune" table to roll on to see what your starting "Mega-Wealth" is. ;D

Hey that's a good idea. Any of those ideas really. I like the rich relative dying. It's simple. You could very well inherit 10,000 gold and be done with it. Maybe as a booster even for the richer folks to help keep them afloat after they spend their fortune on a palace.

If anyone has time, toss me an PM and I will email you what I have written and you can playtest it, critique, or suggest. I've been testing it and fixing errors, but I might have missed some too. I think it could right away use 6 more additional options by changing the 2d6 random event roll to 3d6. I just kind of ran low on ideas on what to write in next and how complicated to make it. Some of the events I put in go on for half a dozen paragraphs. Others last as short as 1 or 2. Maybe variety is good I guess Right now the mini-solo totals at 65 sections/paragraphs.
