What can anyone tell me about the Elven Lords solo adventure? It seems to be an FBI solo I've never heard of, apparently by Mike Stackpole.
I just found one online, going for a dollar - is that a catch?

Any T&T solo going for <$10 is a great deal, and <$5 is a steal IMO. Sorry, I don't know anything about that solo specifically, as I don't have it nor ever played it. I forgot it even existed, I needed to look it up. Ah, another potential item to collect some day. But, Stackpole of course great author, and Liz Danforth did the illustrations for that one. Snatch it up and tell us what you think!

Yes! It was a numbered lot (1000 printed, I think), so it's fairly rare. If the one that you've found is in any sort of decent condition, it's a steal! (Unless I've got it mixed up with something else.)
* Mahrundl nobly refrains from trying to find it and outbid Porkbelly... *

Holy crapalots!!! A dollar for Elven Lords?!?! Yes!! Get it. Get it now. Rare. Usually fairly expensive when it does pop up. Not insanely so, but not cheap. I've seen them go for around $50 to over a hundred bucks. But, more often than not...I just don't see it at all...

Thanks all, it's snapped up... $1.10 was the discounted price in Fine condition. Steal.
I picked up a small set of Sorcerer's Apprentice mags too (all under $4). Very nice.. except for the $20 bucks to FedEx it to Thailand. Ozzies I feel your pain.
Wasn't an e-bay bid - I found this at milehighcomics.com. A great comics dealership, didn't know they carried RPGs until now. Massive collection so there may be other bargains out there. I left a couple SA behind for y'all.
By the way I notice NobleKnight now has the complete run of SA (and Elven Lords for $50!). Too rich for my blood. Sad to think it might be Mike from Eposic breaking loose and dumping his collection.

Yeah, I want those issues so bad I can taste it day and night. On top of that, like a superb jacka**, I let some early issues get away from me on eBay a couple of times. Most recently, just a few days back, I let issue #7 get away by simply forgetting when the bidding was ending. I remembered mere minutes after it ended. The lucky winner scored it for a bit over 2 dollars. Argh!

Porkbelly - Congrats on your score. Always nice when a good game finds a good home.
Now if I can just find some of those...

You originally from there, or currently just living there, because your english is excellent. I never heard of milehighcomics. Curse you guys! I'm already shopping on there right now.

The Noble Knight prices are way too steep for my wallet; I could do myself some serious financial damage there, given half a chance. I'm green with jealousy, Porkbelly! (In a 'happy-for-you' sort of way, of course... ) MileHighComics is going into my list o' links now.

If I had the filthy lucre to pay for my T&T addiction I would snap up the SA issues like a shot. That was a great magazine, I really think it was under-appreciated. Not only did it have great gaming articles, it had some really good short fiction and a quirky attitude that always brings a smile to my face. I remember the article on how to run Cthulhu mythos monster & the Manly Wade Wellman article on indigenous monsters of North-America. I still wish they would release a cd or dvd compilation of the complete run. Thats on the top of my T&T wish list!

Thanks all, the order is still chugging through the system so I'll cross fingers it'll get shipped. I agree MileHigh is is a great place - family business I think. They do free international shipping for large orders. I've done this twice in the past but got so burned on the 'import duties' last time so I had to let the box go back. MileHigh were pretty good about working out an alternative route. My local postie and I have a tenuous relationship when it comes to untrackable parcels, tips are required. I guess you won't have that problem in Oz.
JJB - Yep Thailand is pretty awesome, I'm a Brit but wifey is half-Thai and once the kids flew the coop we decided this was preferable to drizzly old England. Semi-retired now (or retarded as my son tells me) life is good, the downside is that there are few gamers out here.
Compilation CD of SA is a brilliant idea... or PDF's on DTRPG. I guess if Rick had some PDFs he might do it - same old story I see in other threads. BTW, I had some emails with Rick last week on shipping costs - may be good to know he also does $13 USPS envelopes for smaller lots. He was real nice about it. I got the impression he does have plans on re-releasing much of his OOP stock, I guess he's no spring chicken any more though and probably doesn't have the help and funding he needs to make it so.

Interesting. I wish he knew (and ya'd think he would), that if he simply called out to the T&T fanbase, he'd have plenty of offers to help, most or all very likely gratis.

Half-thai myself (mother is from Thailand), and was being setup with a Thai woman to boot. Sounds like a lot of difficulty for some good old T&T pleasure though heheh. Yeah I'd snatch up a compilation CD instantly. Or PDF's. I've bought every PDF that has become available of T&T paraphernalia from DriveThruRPG ... 7.5 rules, solos, etc (legit ones). I like to have the backups and support the proliferation of the biz, and the ability to lookup something on the computer sometimes.

Cool. Half-thai myself (mother is from Thailand), and was being setup with a Thai woman to boot. So you were fit to be Thai-ed? ;D A compilation is pretty much impossible, unfortunately. Rick would have to get permission from all of the authors again; if I understand correctly, the usual deal with publication rights in magazines involves only publishing in that form, and to put them in another format would require renegotiating the rights (and hence probably paying for them again too). That was, as I understand it, the reason why the Dungeon and White Dwarf magazine compilations didn't happen (well, the White Dwarf collection did get made, but was never officially released (you can find copies floating around from time to time, since some were given away or sold at a con before the official release and before they were pulled)), and why the Dragon magazine compilation didn't get continued. PDFs could be possible, since they are sort of just another printing of an existing product. The different medium could be a problem though. I'm not an expert on this sort of thing, so take all of the above with at least a small cup of salt. If Rick needs help with this sort of thing, I'd certainly be willing to provide what assistance I could. Not sure how much that would be, given the distances involved, but this here Internet thingy would make it a lot more possible than it would have been 20 years ago.
