Hi folks,
What can anyone tell me about this GM adventure?
There seem to be a lot of them about at very reasonable prices.

It's an rather attractively presented and solid dungeon. I've not read it all, nor have I run it (being not a fan of dungeons, most especially pre-made). I think it's worth it, as least it's full of neat ideas. Lots of great Danforth art! It's intended for character levels 1-4 and no more than 40 adds.
Also, it's unfinished as there was to be a "part II" (to be released later than year, 1984), but that never materialized.

In fact, I'd bet that if the solo book market hadn't suddenly bombed, (that being a major player in T&T's almost immediate downward spiral at the time) that this was indicative of the sorts of group adventures FBI/Blade may have produced. More than a bit of a pity, since, had they had an opportunity to showcase themselves and the game with many more adventures of this caliber (at the very least in quality presentation), T&T may have enjoyed more success for a longer stretch.
I think they waited far too long to release such an adventure like Isle of Darksmoke to be honest... Has more meat that those lightweight things like Catacombs of the Bear Cult and Dungeon of the Bear (YAWN!).

I might have to grab it then! Even if it's only for the Danforth art.... In truth I do love plundering other people's ideas. ;D.
Thanks Mach!

I picked up catacombs recently - the decent into the bear pit is very engagingly written - like the opening to an Indiana Jones movie! But after than it gets a bit same-y. Plus I'm not a big fan of the tired old 'anti-magic field' ploy.

I've run Isle of Darksmoke once back in the early 90's it was good has a lot of potential remember Darksmoke the War-Wiz is also a master of poisons. muhahaha ;P. I recently been wondering about Level II, I wrote my own take on it based on the story in SA I have also heard that Larry DiTillo has run LVL 2 at Convention recently which makes me wonder if "that company" could possible get him to allow publication? I'd love love love to have it.

I've said it elsewhere: if Blade/FBI/T&T never had a resurgence, this would have made one hell of a swan song.
