Nice review. It reeks of spelling and grammatical errors (or typos) though. :-p

"There are 7 attributes... here's a list of all 8"
It's kind of a capsule review rather than a play-test review - I tend to be a bit sceptical of reviewers who have nothing bad to say about the product. It gives me the impression that they have a less than complete understanding of what they're talking about.
However, any positive review is a GOOD thing!
Hurrah!

It is nice to see someone else as puzzled as I am about the lack of popularity of T&T among the "Old School" RPG gaming enthusiasts.
It is infinitely faster and easier to pick up than OD&D or AD&D, much better to write adventures for if your trying to juggle keeping a gaming group together and dealing with all the little "Adventures" life tends to throw our way and is malleable enough to suit almost any taste.
I keep thinking that ones of these day someone big in the gaming industry will just go "Hey this T&T stuff is great, you should try it" and T&T will get a second Renaissance.
Probably just wishful thinking, but heres hoping it happens! ;D

If enough people bombard Mongoose, I bet they would slip Rick a few grand for a license...

It is........ much better to write adventures for if your trying to juggle keeping a gaming group together and dealing with all the little "Adventures" life tends to throw our way and is malleable enough to suit almost any taste. QFT. Until just recently, "my" fantasy go-to game has been Classic D&D. I was never completely happy with it, but I've modified it heavily over the 25 years I've played it, and it was OK. It was way less labor intensive than any OTHER D&D derivative, and it was more malleable. Over the years though, the spark of drive to create for it has left me however. NOW I've found T&T, and the excitement is back. I find myself WANTING to make new adventures, create new creatures, design new worlds, Etc. The mechanics serve ME as a game writer and GM; and they can be "bent" all over the place without breaking them. I can use almost any supplement I care to use with T&T, especially ones like the Arcanum/Bard Games, Heroes Now, The 30 Sided Character, Etc. I can pull bits of other T&T editions into 5.5, and they fit together seamlessly (6 in particular rocks!). I can even pull in bits of other games if I like them; and the actual rule book encourages me to do so. And the internet has all kinds of fan material. Its just absolutely wonderful.

I come from the same place, wilo, so I know exactly how you feel.
It's quite liberating to look at my shelf full o' stuff and know that not only can I use any of it with ease, but I could, if I wished/needed, do it on the fly in the middle of the session.
The only downside is that sometimes it feels like there isn't enough to tweak. Sometimes I feel like the Maytag Repairman*. ;D It's a double-edged sword, but it's cool that way. There were so many little tweaks I'd make to Classic that, small as they were, felt somehow like they were making too much allowance for whatever. When I make a similar change or tweak in T&T, it doesn't rumble through the foundation as much, if at all. Because of that, I feel much more free and confident to make whatever changes/rulings/etc. that may be appropriate to the time, or campaign or character.
*(ulr=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7z6AKPGDZ4]For those that have no idea what I'm talking about[/url] Couldn't find one of the ones from the 80s I was so familiar with, but oh well.)
