First thank you Boozer for all you work through the many years. Second as potential customers across the pond I'd love to see you release more as PDF, you've got tons of good stuff that would make a nice "Storefront" without needing OP.

Why have you decided not to be active on Trollhalla? I saw your post there, but I didn't want to ask and you weren't going to be there to read it anyway I'm just wondering. At any rate, after Ken's latest email (as of maybe an hour ago or so) about telling OP that he is withdrawing all T&T rights and to discontinue publishing such material, and asking everyone to discontinue doing business with them, I think I will therefore make my currently unavailable mini-solo...available. No Rest for the Weary at War should be coming to light soon. I think I may buy some stock art for it.

Boozer - I hope that you might come around here more often if the Trollahalla's not a priority destination for you - a lot of us totally admire your work (I know I do!) and thank you for the years you've run Hobgoblin's Tavern. This OP BS has left a lot of people reeling and freaked out and such - I hope that you're not planning to 'get out of the game'.

Thank you mgtremaine, I'll see what I can do. I'm thinking of offering products like mugs, tees, hoodies & stuff soon so will think about PDFs also.

Cheers ragnorakk, no worries there. My life over the past 18 months has been very difficult and complicated and I have to admit that being so active in the T&T universe has really kept me going, as many of you know.
So yes I do plan to stick around, and post here more often.
Thanks for your kind words, much appreciated.

jongjungbu, when something becomes un-enjoyable, it's time to quit, and for me, for many reasons, Trollhalla, and a couple of its members, just annoys me at the moment. I'm not saying I'm leaving for good, but I think a break from it is what I need right now.
I'll drop by from time to time.
I agree with ken's message although this whole sorry affair is very upsetting.
I wish James well for the future and hope to hell that he at least tries to make amends and comes out and offers apologies and explanations very soon.
He remains my friend however, as I said on TH, Life's just too short...
<<sigh>>
Onwards and Upwards...

At any rate, after Ken's latest email (as of maybe an hour ago or so) ... If I'm not out of line, would someone mind performing a bit o' copy/paste ledgerdemain and reproduce the email here for those of us less fortunate souls?

Because of continuing complaints, and because of the way "that guy" has failed to handle the situation, I feel compelled to ask Trollhalla members to have no further business with him. Whether you continue to buy things from "that company" of not is up to you, but as of now, tvp will no longer be given for O.P. purchases. The link will remain on the left for a while, as it is a good quick way to see what is heppening or not happening at "that company". At some time in the future, the "that company" link will come down. James, if you're reading this, I'm asking you to discontinue publication of anything with my name on it, and return all rights to me. Others may ask the same with my approval. I know I can't force you to quit publishing older material, or stop publishing material that may be in the pipeline, but any further publication of my work or anything dealing with Tunnels and Trolls in any way is expressly forbidden and considered unauthorized. I hereby reclaim copyright and control of all my work, and urge others to do the same.

It also leaves me in the unpleasant possition of not knowing the status of rights on my creations. If I republish any of my stuff that has been printed or reprinted by OP will I find myself in hot water with the copyright folks? See, that's what I've been wondering. If we were to go to some of the authors of stuff that's appeared in HH/DD previously, would we be able to re-print it in a new 'zine, with new layout & graphics? There's a lot of good material in some of those early issues which might very well be lost due to Outlaw's troubles. This is why I decided a while ago that I'd not submit material to OP. That little copyright statement just rubbed me wrong from the start. As far as I can tell, it would be an issue only as far as "that guy" decided to push it, and I don't see why he would. An interesting question to ask him - if you thought you'd get a meaningful response... I really do doubt that he'd try and do that, particularly if it was the original author doing the publishing - but I don't know the guy...

Boozer - I hope that you might come around here more often ... a lot of us totally admire your work Quoted to echo the sentiment. Boozer, I've only been involved with T&T for a little over a year now and I have to say the items you've offered over at Hobgoblin's Tavern went a long way to drawing me in. Thanks for feeding my addiction

Thanks for feeding my addiction Ditto. Boozer, your solos were the first ones that I ever bought or acquired that were not FBI. I hadn't even downloaded or tried various freebie fan-based creations before I started ordering some of yours. So now I know how great content there can be and is outside of the official material. Keep it up!

There's a lot of good material in some of those early issues which might very well be lost due to Outlaw's troubles. I've been contributing art, fiction and articles to various publications for yonks. My understanding has always been that the copyright stays with the author unless transferred to the publisher via written agreement.

Good to hear, HS - my experience is pretty limited. That seems like the way it should be.
