Wow. I don't have time to visit here every day, and when I'm away things happen quickly!
I'd suggest that we slow down a little bit. It's great to have a store front but we need to fill it with something.
Like Kopfy suggested I'd say everyone who have something they are working on should do so while "tacitly supporting Loomis's Trademark". Plan what you want to publish and contact Rick and be nice about it. Then when we have something to show for our effort we can start pooling it at Lulu.
I'd suggest that if those of us who want to get involved produce a freebie each, then we have proved to ourself and Rick that we have what it takes. Having something to show off is good, and also something that will probably make it easier for Rick to feel like endorsing, especially if it already say "Tunnels & Trolls is a Trademark of Flying Buffalo Inc". Then let's start moving on the magazine project, how about that?
Having a focal point magazine is a very good idea. I suggested it myself so of course it is!
Since it will be needing some more coordination, art, layout and gathering of resources I think it'd be best done by finding someone who can be editor and try to see if we have enough to fill a mag!
Also, that editor should probably also find a way to "tacitly supporting Loomis's Trademark", either by slapping on a nice disclaimer or talk it out with Rick.
I don't want to sound like I'm trying to hijack this or anything, but I think the enthusiasm need some direction and planning. Feel free to ignore me and come up with your own.
So, what am I doing to help out? I have a con scenario I've already made available on my blog, with Rick's approval. I can post that. Since last week I am also working on a new megadungeon project. Inspired by Stonehell by Mike Curtis I have been writing, but since I'm also taking care of a kid full time it's kind of slow right now. If I get some more free time I'd like to write a solo, but I'm trying not to go overboard. I do have another GM adventure, not a dungeon, which I'd like to finish as well. At least the latter I'll try to get up as a visible freebie soonish.
Am I talking out of my behind, or am I making some kind of sense?
