GENERAL IDEAS ABOUT WARRIOR WORLD
All Characters are humaniods. Wizards are not adventurers but can be NPC's No Leprechauns No evil PC's Warrior-Wizards and Rogues are allowed More Kindred from V 7.5
Rolling up Characters: Roll 6 numbers with 3d6 You may reroll anything below an 8 You may completely reroll 6 numbers 3 times. Assign the numbers to the Attributes. Adds are derived from STR, CON , DEX, LCK When you choose your weapons ignor DEX You get these 3 things for free: 3 days rations, Water Skin, Carrying Sack Each person that fought must deduct 1 from his armor points at the end of the adventure.

I guess my first question would be why did you decide to remove DEX from the weapon requirements?

Warrior World is Ken's riff from the UK first edition - I think it was there to show how easily you can 'mod' T&T.
I guess the no DEX idea comes from strength trumping all in Conan's world?

Some of the bows require a high dex and some of the weapons in 7.5 also require a high dex. However, I am considering including Dex in weapons selction. Thank you for pointing this out to me.

I have used the 3d6 method in many RPG's for rolling up attributes. I like some low attributes, average attributes, and high attributes. But I think choosing the top three rolls out of four dice will give you give you more adds. Here is a test using the 4d6 method:
Series One: 17, 11, 11, 13, 12, 10, 10, 17 Series two: 8, 10, 13, 12, 12, 15, 18, 11 Series three: 7, 15, 18, 16, 11, 11, 16, 10
I know this is not enough research on Statistics and Probability. I would appreciate your comments on how you roll up attributes.

I've always played the character that the dice gave me. If he was a gangly incompetent 'tard with the personality of a molusk, I didn't lose any sleep when he died. Of course playing a character about whom you don't care to much can, on occasions, create a legend.
I had one such character who became a true hero, due to the wreckless abandonment with which he approached every challenge - fate was on his side, he kept surviving despite my best efforts.
His name? Ludo Krause.
Now: General Krause (ret'd), father of 2 half elves.

I agree with Eagle for picking the best of several rolls for attributes when it comes to Solo Adventures. Too many characters have died in even easy adventures so I roll 5 different sets of attributes and pick the best of the 5 sets. In no other way will I cheat. In regular (non-solo) play I'm a purist and take what I get no matter what.

Um ... what exactly is Warrior World (for those of us who don't know)?
Sounds like a T&T variant rules set....?

Hi,
The way it is right now is that there is less envolvment with wizards but I'm thinking of making it only for warriors, rogues, and some kind of priest class.
Thanks all of you for the comments on rolling up Attributes.

Um ... what exactly is Warrior World (for those of us who don't know)? Sounds like a T&T variant rules set....? Do you mean in context of Hogscape's comment about its mention in UK 1st ed. (sourced from the T&T Supplement)? If that's the case, it's simply a thought experiment by Ken in an afterword entitled: "Beyond the Tunnels" in which he proposes just a few little rules tweaks to give a very different play experience. In this case, a human-only world that's grittier and far more forgiving to warriors and much more punishing to wizards. Ya know....as it should be.

Thanks again to all,
I haven't read Hogscapes comments in the UK first edition. I would like to know more about the rule's tweaks for warriors. Macfront, the idea of an all human world is very appealing.

OOPS! I finally realized that when you pick the best 3 out of a four dice roll you tend to have too many Warrior-Wizards.
