The great unknown forum.immersiveink.com/viewtopic.php?p=16838#p16838 the original image is of The Rock of Cashel, Cahir, County Tipperary, Ireland - I edited in some details to represent the ruins of Tor-Xonor in a play by post I was doing. But the image is just awesome for the darkness and size of the structure.

You fall through a soft spot in the ground while traveling through a dark forest. As you regain your senses, this is what you see.

It's as dried up and hollow as...as I am... Tastes a little little like parchment coated in ozone though-might be ok with butter and pepper.

If you are unfamiliar with Mike Corriero's art, I strongly encourage you to take a look at his gallery. He's recently posted a book of his artwork on Lulu. Personally, I would love to have a copy on my table for games. The creatures he creates are truly weird, wonderful and - most importantly - plausible. His grasp of creature anatomy is truly masterful. Delve in the city? Are the delvers descending or ascending? Is this a last look at the open sky or a welcome escape from the catacombs beneath? What about the cat, good luck, bad luck, shapeshifter ally or nemesis? Who is the Gatekeeper? Is there a Keymaster? Why are the gates open? Why are the stairs so worn?

I'm not sure what kind of wand this squirrel happened to find but it's truly amazing. To beg the question, who left the wand just laying around for the squirrel to find? Were they inspired by the blue jay? Is the squirrel a master pickpocket? A delver extraordinaire in disguise? Will some poor delver find their prize possession missing at a crucial moment? Gingers For-The-Win, man, Gingers For-The-Win. This could be a fun side scenario. The delvers journey through a seemingly normal wood only to wake up and discover their various magical implements missing. As they track the nighttime thieves they are beset by wild creatures using the implements against the party of delvers. As the story progresses we discover the woodland creatures were Uplifted (points if you get the reference) by fairies. The wood is a favored spot by wood-cutters which is having an impact on the homes of the creatures. So, they decided to fight back using whatever means they could find. Do our delvers pitch-in and help? Do they demand their property back? Do they attempt to fight the creatures on their home turf (Tucker's Kobolds, man. Not a good idea...)? All sorts of fun here...
