Hey, Folks, I was just struck by a thought and realized I hadn't seen it in discussion before. We've had a couple dozen threads on how our beloved game can be used as the mechanics for settings it wasn't necessarily designed for and, on occasion, settings designed for other game systems. One I hadn't seen before is Toons. Steve Jackson Games did a great job with their Toon and Toon Deluxe. I still have my copy and a couple of supplements I found used back in the mid-90's. It was the first RPG that I introduced my daughter to and, as such, I have a soft-spot in my heart for it. As I perused DeviantArt this morning, as is my wont over breakfast, I tripped over the character Don Karnage, one of the villains from the tv series Tale Spin. That image inspired this post. Tale Spin has always been a favorite of mine, I see it as a cartoon version of the short-lived series Tales of the Gold Monkey. So, I'm curious, has anyone used T&T to model a Toon-esque game? If so, would you be willing to share any notes, stories or design thoughts? T&T is so flexible and capable that I'm sure it could work. If not T&T then, as in the case of Tale Spin / Tales of the Gold Monkey, perhaps MS&PE could be more appropriate. I'm thinking it could be a great way to introduce kids to RPGs using a simple system we all love and a genre kids enjoy. ~ Prof.

I've been thinking of going through, and doing a anthro P-M chart. Maybe with a large-medium-small version of each animal. A 7 foot mouse, and a 3 foot tiger. Now, if I can only get time, energy, and mental capacity all to work at the same time. Work has been hitting me hard the last few months.
As far as it goes, T&T has always had a cartoonish feel to it. From the cloud-of-fist combat, to the "vital spot". And, that's the way I like it.
BTW, another thing I've been thinking of, is writing up Toon stats for various web comics.
