The creator of Runequest, Pendragon, Glorantha and the board game Dragon Pass, as well as much else, recently passed away. One of the greats of the first wave of roleplaying IMO, I spent alot of time in the worlds he originated. Thank you Greg, rest in peace. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Stafford

Well put zanshin. I had many a happy hour at university playing Runequest (2nd edition) in the 1980s and treated myself to 1st edition Pendragon, which I really liked but never managed to play often enough to get into it.

Very sad news. I only met Stafford once, at a long-ago game convention. After signing some Gloranta things I'd just purchased*, he turned to another fan and suggested he look at MY stuff. I was just starting to write at the time . . . quite an ego-boo! *I've been posting pictures at mewe.com/profile/5bbcbf19a5f4e532eb9f0ce6

Greg's passing and now Stan Lee's passing have made me quite sad. Two legends gone from the world.
