Hi folks, I'm trying to track down info on the 2nd and 3rd editions of the game. This is for research purposes so photocopies/pdfs aren't going to be breaking any copyright laws! Cheers

I started with the 2nd edition, and the Supplement. I haven't done a page by page comparison, but it is fairly similar to 1st edition.
I don't clearly remember the 3rd edition. I did have, and might still have, the fourth edition, which was quite nice.

From 4th to present, here are some differences listed: rpg.stackexchange.com/questions/69973/is-there-an-overview-of-rules-differences-between-various-editions-of-tunnels-anIt's my understanding there was little difference in editions 1 through 4, 5th being the first major reworking a cleaning up and reorganizing of the game with some new additions. Please understand, I've no personal knowledge of this, but Ken (the author) said something to this effect* on some public forum or another when someone brought it up. ---- * I don't recall his exact words or where I read them, so weak sauce I know. But, I thought it might help you.

I compared my second to my third and did not find much difference:
Coverpage
Added “TUNNELS & TROLLS” to upper left corner
“second edition” changed to “third edition”
Changed “TUNNELS AND TROLLS” to “TUNNELS & TROLLS”
Page 1 (unnumbered)
My second edition is specified as “third printing” and my third edition has exact same “third printing” specification. Could be coincidence and both are third printings but maybe just as likely this was carried over from the second edition and not updated.
Last page
Second edition has full ad for Starweb. Third edition is blank
That is literally all I see different!
While you probably want more of a comparison of 1 to 2 or 3 to 4, I haven't taken the time to do that! But you now know there is materially no difference between second and third. Second edition will likely run you $150 or more. Third edition probably around $100. But neither come up for sale often. For research purposes, you really only need to get a hold of one of them.

Cheers folks. I've got physical copies of all of the rules books except for 2&3 (and of course, nothing by "that company"). I'm interested in the differences between those US versions of the early game and the first UK edition.
