I have no real need for this information but I started wondering and now I can't get it off my mind: Does anyone know what typeface is used as the body text in a bunch of solos and other print products from the 1970s-1980s? I've seen it in several other publications, too, but I've been unsuccessful in tracking it down. I think it was pretty popular at one point. For example, it's used in Gamesmen of Kasar: www.drivethrurpg.com/product/364569/Gamesmen-of-Kasar-TT-solo -- the font is visible as paragraph/body text in the full-size preview Thank you, Trolls

It was a big old typesetting machine with a custom font. The closest I've found is Oregon LDO Book which I use in the latest few TrollsZine.

Liz mentioned something, I forget where, about typefaces. Maybe in the context of fixing up an old publication. As mentioned by quoghmyre a big old specialized machine was involved.

Ah yes Optima looks very close and I think that may have been what Liz said. Sadlly I could not justify the price.
