Sneak peak…
This is behind the scenes look at Ken St Andre’s work in 1984 and my work in 2024 preparing my Tunnels & Trolls Treasury (website to be released sooner or later!).
This is Ken’s “master copy” of TnT issue 7-8. These are the raw materials he literally cut and taped together to lay out and then photocopy the zine, which in most cases means the actual original artwork. Crown jewel of this issue looks to be the original Rob Carver art at the end of the issue (shown in reply post due to 3-image limit).

Nice!
I sold my originals of TnT a few years back. I don't think my collection began this early.

Nice! I sold my originals of TnT a few years back. I don't think my collection began this early. I do have # 6 (another "master" copy), but that's the oldest I have. The art wasn't as interesting so I shared 7-8 instead here. Very hunting for 1 - 5 ! Big bucks available to someone who held on to them!

I'm glad we don't have to do that old cut and paste stuff in publishing anymore. I've heard horror stories from people who did paste ups for Marvel Comics back in the day and I imagine it was par for the course across publishing.
Say what you want about digital, I'll take it over a pair of scissors, school paste, rubber cement, or scotch tape any day of the week.
