Don't expect much T&T support from FBI. I submitted a PDF booklet to Rick at FBI in May and told him that if he liked it, he could distribute it for free without paying me anything, or if he wanted to sell it, I'd like to have $20 for my trouble. After several weeks, I prompted him for a response, and was told that he was very busy. Then recently I mentioned it to Ken, who sent my email to Rick, and then I heard again from Rick about how very busy he was. Lots of conventions and tradeshows to attend.
To Rick's credit, he did, after reading my letter addressed to Ken, spend half an hour looking for my submission, and when he couldn't find it, asked me to resubmit it. I really should have resubmitted it, but I can't bring myself to do it now, and told him so. So I may have blown any chances I ever had of getting T&T materials published with FBI. So be it.
Rick admitted that he has let submissions from Ken "hanging" for a while before looking at them. T&T is just not a priority for FBI. It's not a money maker, and Rick's attention has to go where he can make money. It's purely business, which is understandable, but doesn't bode well for us T&T fans.
I've considered asking Rick how much money it would take to get him to do an OGL and SRD for T&T. If I did ask him, and he came back with a figure, but it was out of my reach, would anyone else on the bridge be willing to pitch in?

I think it would be better for us to generate and share a doc that does this for us, and for our own use. I'm tired of game companies not supporting products and often find that fellow gamers create materials just as good or better than game companies, so why not take things into our own hands and do it ourselves. As long as we don't try to sell this thing, and we keep it internal, I would think we'd be fine.

Commercial support is paid for with the money left over after all other costs are paid. Out of the money the Tax Man wants. If there's no support then the money isn't there. Why?
